(1) My thought on this development.

There is a history of Trump or his associates intentionally allowing notes to be photographed by media. There is also a history of them doing it unintentionally.

For now, I'll assume these notes were written by Lindell, not Trump.
(2) Thoughts*. I meant to say these are my thoughts on it. I can never do justice to a topic like this in one tweet.

The info we can see in the photo of the notes is obviously incomplete, but there's enough that points to some of the batshit insane ideas of some associates.
(3) The followers of the batshit insane associates tend to believe that on J20 Trump will somehow magically make it all better by using the military, and making high profile arrests.

I'm here to tell you that most MAGA folk DO NOT believe this garbage. They hate the Qanon crap.
(4) Personally I go one step further and criticize Trump for enabling, condoning, allowing, and possibly endorsing some of the lawlessness we've seen this month.

That "possibly" is getting closer to "probably" each day. I try to wait for this pesky thing called evidence.
(5) I've already seen a lot of evidence that supports my current view. And the absence of certain things, such as an appropriately worded live TV statement by Trump within one hour of him knowing about aspects of the Capitol riot as soon as his speech finished at 2.11pm.
(6) I spent the last 4.5 years hearing President Trump speak about the USA being a nation of laws. On almost every policy issue, the delineation between lawful and unlawful behavior was central to understanding the work he did for the country.

eg legal vs illegal immigration.
(7) Trump loves legal immigration. Government decides who to let in, why, and how many at a time.

Immigration hardliners who want ALL immigration stopped are idiots who don't live in the real world. They're also usually racist.

I have defended his legal immigration policies.
(8) If I believed that policies like those were not incompliance with the law, I wouldn't have supported them.

In December 2020 I saw a series of tweets and retweets by Trump that were inching right up to the edge of what I could support, in terms of promoting the march on 1/6.
(9) I spoke up several times on Twitter with my predictions of what would happen if the march went ahead, esp with so much support by Trump.

The riot didn't surprise me. The security failures did. Because IMO Trump had never LIHOP (let it happen on purpose) like that before.
(10) Attempts to sway me by saying Trump had no power to affect the security arrangements that day don't work.

He sure did. Every planned protest in DC has security planning input from the many federal and local controlled LE agencies, including DHS, DoD, USSS, & the WH.
(11) Too many folk are believing the ridiculous claims made by the now-fired Chief of the USCP about who asked which agency for help and who denied that and when.

It's RIDICULOUS.

There is NO WAY that Trump didn't know what was going on.
(12) That means Trump promoted a march that even my dog could figure out was going to become a riot AND that he failed in his sworn duty of protecting American lives by ordering his resources to at least put a decent perimeter AROUND the Capitol. That's federal land.
(13) Oh and don't start with the excuses that the killer of Officer Brian Sicknick didn't know or intend that one of the cops he assaulted could die from it.

Just... ugh... get real.

Some info:

(14) IMHO, the USCP deliberately distorted the initial news of his death by omitting key facts. He'd been struck in the head with a fire extinguisher; obv. a very serious form of assault.

This gave deniers time to boost a theory that, somehow, the assailant hit him by accident.
(15) Back to Mike Lindell's notes that appear in the photo.

Opponents of Trump are rightly, IMO, worried about what he might do in his remaining days in office. They know he promoted the march despite the obvious risks & he didn't do enough about security (within his powers.)
(16) I think it's high time for Trump to clearly and fully denounce those of his associates who helped him get off track so much that his inaction contributed to events that took the life of an innocent LEO.

IDK much about Lindell's part but there's others, for example:
(17) The first of the images above is Trump retweeting Lin Wood on 12/14/20 when Wood claimed Gov Brian Kemp would go to jail. A sitting POTUS shouldn't RT things like that. Period.

It was well known by that stage what Wood was up to.

Powell is still in Trump's circle, too.
(18) There's prob 20 names I could give you rn of people of dubious character still in frequent contact with POTUS by one or two degrees. (And to the those who say Trump is of dubious character... you cried wolf & no one listens now.)

We can all agree on Lin Wood, right?
(19) I'm not going to list those names here bc I already get enough hate mail for daring to courteously and reasonably hold Trump to the same standard as others.

No human deserves anyone's unconditional approval, especially not a POTUS.

I always said if he drops the ball...
(20) That I would reconsider my support. Others are reluctant to condemn the actions and omissions that I am condemning.

That's not my problem. I can only speak for myself.

Here's a longer thread about my current views about Trump:

(21) If there wasn't a patriotic, law abiding, experienced leader like Mike Pence monitoring what happens in the WH in the next 5 days, I might be worried about the crazy people around Trump.

The Constitution has the right safety measures. Let's hope they're not needed.

(1) I warned y'all about the openly antisemitic Anthime Joseph "Tim" Gionet AKA Baked Alaska way back in 2016.

His record in activism/ petty crime is similar to that of "Ali Alexander" AKA Ali Akbar.

It's not "performance art": People get killed. See: 3/15/19 in NZ. ImageImage
(2) On 3/15/19 in Christchurch NZ 51 innocent members of the public were shot & killed by an Australian male whose behavior & beliefs are not that dissimilar to what we've seen by some who unlawfully entered the Capitol on 1/6/21.

Maybe that's why my view differs from others.
(3) I am on the side of every person who was lawfully in the Capitol that day. Not just the politicians: the cops, the staff, and anyone else who wasn't there with the intent of threatening politicians to vote a certain way OR ELSE.

That's why so many are being arrested.

(1) Oh great. More remarks that will only fuel more division. Yeah yeah I know various people are gonna unfollow, block or say mean words to me for trying to assess this speech objectively.

You think I care about that rn? You don't know me at all. Start with my pinned tweet.
(2) From 2015, Trump's opponents exaggerated his flaws, made stuff up, & refused to see the good things he often did.

Part of the effect was to make his supporters dig in deeper to defend him. There was willful blindness.

Opponents should be glad eyes are opening up. But, no.
(3) People on both sides allow "emotional reasoning" (in quotes because it isn't reasoning at all) to invade the space in their mind where logical reasoning and basic empathy should be in charge.

My empathy never wavered but I did let emotion go too far.

That said,

I can't even say it was good that he said this, bc saying it 7 days later makes a mockery of the words.

It only inflames. I spoke up several times in Dec/Jan about his tweets recklessly, needlessly promoting the march. Then I saw him fail to review USCP status on the AM of 1/6.
OTOH this, is an example of statesmanship.

I now realize Mike Pence has represented all Americans by being by the President's side all this time in case intervention was genuinely needed.

On 1/6, it was. Not before.

whitehouse.gov/briefings-stat…
What Mike Pence has been put through is incredible poor treatment in both directions. He showed us how to keep your cool and do your duty no matter what.

The left has always said disgusting hateful things about him.

Then a noisy faction on the right started letting rip.

The Ds aren't doing this to reduce the incitement of violence. That's just the cover story.

They're doing all this stuff to neutralize opposition. Experts on foreign revolutions; the faster they take over, the greater chance of success.

Act accordingly. Get offline, & prep.
Above photo: People trying to get into the US Embassy Saigon compound in 1975.

I was gonna spend today writing threads about how to prepare for what's ahead in the next few weeks. Then I saw the Ds' timeframe is more like days, hours even.

So that all went out the window.
I have no idea if I'll be able to tweet for long so please take nothing for granted from now on.

You and your family can get through this. Please don't give up hope. A couple of days ago I thought about folk at risk of suicide. Check on those around you. Ask how they are.

(1) Updated list of 12 Senate objectors:

@SenLummis (Cynthia) - New Senator, new a/c: Give her a follow
@TTuberville
@HawleyMO
@SenTedCruz
@SenRonJohnson
@jameslankford
@SteveDaines
@SenJohnKennedy
@MarshaBlackburn
@SenatorBraun
@RogerMarshallMD
@BillHagertyTN
(2) Please be careful about circulating Twitter account names that are NOT run by the Senator. I've verified each one of these as accurate, working off this list that included errors (see next tweet):

(3) The above list had:

>@SenLummis wrong a/c: "@CynthiaLummis"
>Sen Josh @HawleyMO was omitted
>No link for Sen @TTuberville
>No link for @SenJohnKennedy

We all make mistakes, including me.

The tweet has been circulated widely. Let's get the corrected list out, too.

Sadly, the family of @LukeLetlow had to lock his Twitter account due to the verbal abuse being sent there.

About 10 days ago he tweeted a health update & urged eligible Covid survivors to donate antibodies in plasma for others.

👉Please RT this message, to save lives.

🇺🇸⚜️
They've now gone further and deleted (or maybe hidden) his account. I can understand the level of grief his family are dealing with, so if they want to do this, it makes some sense.

But in PR terms it just draws more attention. And the good replies are gone, with the bad ones.
Fortunately there's still plenty of material online from the family, friends and colleagues of Luke Letlow paying tribute to his life and work.

He was well liked in Louisiana, including by opponents.
