Interestingly enough it’s actually Harvey Barnes that has shown the most promise out of the Leicester attack in recent weeks, especially if you look at value for money with Vardy being...
considerably more expensive than Maddison and Barnes. Barnes is the cheapest and the lowest owned Leicester attacker. He is definitely a differential that I am looking towards despite it being tough to fit in all the great midfielders in FPL this season.
Kane vs Son
Kane over the last 3 games (LEE, FUL, shu) vs the previous 3 games (liv, LEI, wol)
FPL points: 29 - 6
Goals: 3 - 0
Assists: 1 - 0
xG: 2,07 - 0,22
xA: 1,64 - 0,05
Son over the last 3 games (LEE, FUL, shu) vs the previous 3 games (liv, LEI, wol)
FPL points: 20 - 14
Goals: 1 - 1
Assists: 0 - 2
xG: 2,32 - 1,12
xA: 1,26 - 0,15
Looking at these stats it’s obvious that especially Kane has improved a ton because of the better fixtures. When...
he faced tougher defences (liv, LEI, wol) he really seemed to struggle but now Kane and Son looks to be back in the form that they had earlier in the season and it’s scary for me as a Spurs non-owner. Their fixtures coming up are a bit of a mixed bag so it will be interesting...
to see how they do over this period.
Man City defense
Let’s take a look at Man City’s defensive numbers since GW10 just to see how unbelievable they are:
xGC (expected goals conceded per game):
Man City 0,41
Arsenal 1,02
Leicester 1,1
Chelsea 1,17
Aston Villa 1,21
These stats are absolutely ridiculous. To concede less than half of the expected goals as the 2nd best defensive team in the league is almost unheard of. At least a double up on Man City defense is actually as close to essential as you can come.
Finally I want to talk (yet again) about the new kid on the block, Jayden Bogle. Obviously it might be a bit early to talk about him since we don’t really know if he will keep his spot at right wing back now that Baldock is back and that their next two fixtures are terrible...
facing both the Manchester clubs. However it’s his attacking potential that we are interested in. No defender has had more touches in the box, shots, shots on target, shots in the box, big chances or xG than Bogle since he started his first PL game in GW17. Hopefully he can...
his place and Sheffield Utd can start building some type of defensive form when they face WBA (H) in GW22. With 0,1% ownership and only costing 4.3, he should be one on the watchlist for many.

Back again with this week's thread that will take a look at 5 players that are hot in the FPL community currently ahead of the upcoming gameweek that starts within a few hours! 🔥
The highest point scorer in FPL last season has only scored 29 points so far this season. To put that in perspective, that’s lower than West Brom’s goalkeeper Johnstone. However it looks like this poor form is about to come to an end. Despite playing...
tough opponents in Liverpool and Spurs over the last 2 GWs, KDB is 2nd for xA (expected assists) and 1st when it comes to big chances created and shot attempts. With fixtures like BUR (H), FUL (H) and WBA (H) in their next 4 and with Aguero coming back, KDB feels like a great...
Back again with the series that got so much appreciation and kind feedback last time around! 👏
This series will take a look at 5 players that are hot in the FPL community currently ahead of the upcoming gameweek. Let's go! ⤵️
1. Joao Cancelo (5.4)
4 straight 90 minutes appearances for the team that held the most clean sheets last season, 1.8% ownership, a bonus points magnet and an amazing fixture run coming up. For only 5.4, Joao Cancelo is a hot topic in the community. He managed to got a bonus...
point in GW8 despite blanking and Pep seems to have prioritized the defense heavily after they dropped points against both Leicester and Leeds in GW3-4. Since GW4, Cancelo has played every single minute and Man City have put up some impressive defensive numbers. 2nd in lowest...
The highest scoring midfielder in FPL as of writing, Son picked up an injury in the first half against Newcastle and is now expected to already drop in price tonight
Who are the best replacements? What should you do with him? ⤵️
These were Jose Mourinho’s words in the press conference after the game:
"It's an injury, we'll have him out for a while. It's his hamstring."
He also said that he expects Son to miss out for a long time. If it’s a partial or a complete muscle tear, we don’t know, but...
I probably won't expect Son to play in October at least. It should be mentioned that Son often recovers faster than usual.
For those that don’t care or think about the price drop it could be a wise decision to wait a few days until the injury has been assessed 🚑
My observations from the first 2 gameweeks 🔍 (Thread)
Looking forward towards gameweek 3, I wanted to share my thoughts and opinions on things that I have noticed during these first 2 GWs of the season
Despite the small sample size, there are already conclusion to be made ⤵️
1⃣ One of the teams that has impressed the most so far is Brighton. After a performance against Chelsea where they could be considered unlucky not to get more from that game, they beat Newcastle comfortably in GW2.
Brighton has always had one of the worst defences in the...
defences in the league in recent times but it seems like Potter has found the system that he wants to play and the inclusion of Ben White could also play a part in how only Liverpool and Everton are the only 2 teams (that have played 2 games) that has a lower xGA (expected...
