Bad news for anyone in Scotland's fishing industries hoping for some action from the UK Government to help with that problem of getting their products to the European markets #BrexitChaos
It wasn't just me who got a negative response, either, @Stuart_McDonald and @neilgraysnp pressed for support for Scotland's fishing industry but the Tory Government still doesn't see the problem -
and the chaos engulfs other industries, too, as meat producers have found out - bbc.co.uk/news/business-…
and the inadequacy of the UK Government response so far is clear in the responses to the compensation scheme - theguardian.com/business/2021/…
and the comment from DR Collin & Son in this article shows how the industry leaders see the problems - thenational.scot/news/19020830.…
It's not like the problems weren't highlighted well in advance - you just have to listen to the folk working in the industry. Watch the video linked from this tweet, for example -
It's the assurances that the Prime Minister gave so glibly to fishing communities that everything would go smoothly. This is the link to the video - vimeo.com/358261214?ref=…

but the article says that 'just' £100,000 gets spent promoting the Union. David Mundell's bill for spindoctors alone is over £700,000 - I know because I asked the question - parliament.uk/business/publi…
probably easier with a screengrab than that link -
This young woman spent two days on a train to get here because she refuses to fly now. Governments should already be acting on this, following the lead of @scotgov
@scotgov Addressing climate change is not easy and there is no magic formula to turn back the climate clock. The warnings reach back four decades - Climate Change and Society was published in 1981, for example - but Government action has been fairly thin on the ground
@scotgov That's why the Scottish Government's action is so important. It got the approval of Laurent Fabius and it seems to be under continual review - gov.scot/policies/clima…
That extra cash the Tories say they gave soldiers to balance their tax payments? Not a penny so far. Not one penny -
If the UK Government does eventually give serving personnel this cash it won't go to the poorest paid, it'll go to people earning more than £27,200 (more than £28,193 next year). An army Private's pay starts at £18,859, RAF Police Officer £18,800, Navy Rating £18,489
Maybe the UK Government should think about paying people properly instead of these gimmicks. An RAF Firefighter gets paid from £18,800 while a firefighter in the Scottish Fire and Rescue service gets more than £22,000 in their development phase raf.mod.uk/recruitment/ro…
The Prime Minister is still refusing to fess up about what AggregateIQ was doing in Downing Street so I asked her today what Cambridge Analytica's Alexander Nix was doing in Downing Street. She's still #dodgingthequestion
The history of this goes back some time - March last year I started asking questions when @MichaelLCrick reported that AggregateIQ had been in Downing Street
