Theresa May's machiavelic plans have to stop.

If she really believes her negotiations are that Strong and Stable, she should stop this embarrassing political circus and openly go for her No-Deal #Brexit plan, instead of sneakily engineering it.

We know that's your plan. 1/10
When she decided to put forward her support to #BradyAmendment, she knew it would be rejected by the EU negotiators.
It was even said yesterday before she decided to support it.
But it is a sneaky way to put forward a No-Deal #Brexit and later putting the blame on the EU. 2/10
The #Backstop was negotiated BY the UK to comply with UK's red lines:
✔ No hard border (#GoodFridayAgreement)
❌ No customs unions
❌ No single market
❌ No freedom of movement
The EU wanted a soft #Brexit. So no Backstop. 3/10

Tonight I go to bed knowing more clearly than I have ever known before how different the view of everything is through the eyes of an EU citizen. I don't see jubilation or hope. All I see are countless messages of despair because of the additional uncertainty. #BrexitChaos 1/
And that isn't specific to me - even a quick glance at FB tells me that. This doesn't mean we would have supported the deal - of course not. But it says a lot about how very different the experiences of EU citizens in the UK and Britons in UK have been over the past 935 days. 2/
The fact that someone got to call us EU citizens "bloodsuckers" on live TV earlier today without any challenge or questioning really did not help. Neither does the fact that campaigners now places their hope in a #PeoplesVote that would not include people like me... 3/

Theresa May can't go forward or backward. UK parliament ready to take her down, but she's been the dead wolf since day 1 and she's still here. People without parliamentary democracies don't understand the drama & entertainment they are missing. #BrexitVote
"The vote could be delayed until the day before UK falls out of the EU with no deal." Say what you will about Theresa May, she has created a world where women no longer have to try harder than men, where even the most mediocre woman can hold high office. 🤣
Here's Jacob Rees-Mogg moaning about people "dusting down precedents from the 1860s." 🤣🤣 #TheresaMay #BrexitShambles #BrexitVote

#BrexitChaos - thread: need for definitions:

#NoDeal #nodealbrexit means crashing out: no arrangements with the #EU or other member states, no transition period. Means losing all existing trade deals & years of global negociations
#WTO ≠ trade deal (look it up!) 1/9
@theresa_may #WithdrawalAgreement is the framework for a future #UK #EU future relationship. Allows for an orderly #Brexit with transition period, but leaves many issues to resolve, trade deals and regulations to negotiate, which will take many years and be costly. No "dividend"!
It is possible to #StopBrexit and #Remain. This means staying in the #EU with all current benefits, reciprocal rights and protections, free trade and movement for goods, services and people within the EU. To do this, Govt must #RevokeA50 (Article 50=notice given to #Leave 3/9

Thread ==>> I’ve been digging

So we have #BrexitChaos but who are the winners & what are their political aims?

There are a few people to focus on but I’ll start with Crispin Odey, former son in law to Rupert Murdoch.

Crispin first came to my attention during NHS discussions.

OK let’s analyse this Circle Health deal done shortly after the Tories first came to power.

The power grab started before the Health and Social Care Act with more than £1million in donations from City executives to the Tories.

Circle had existed since 2004 - this from Wikipedia describes the 2011 deal for former hedge fund managers to run a ‘failing hospital’.

Losses doubled after take over.

We'll be live tweeting from BBC Any Questions for the next hour or so.
It's been a busy week on the Brexit front, so it promises to be interesting.
Panel includes:
@Andrew_Adonis @Juergen_Maier @JennyChapman & Wokingham MP @johnredwood
#bbcaq #anyquestions
The question on everyone's lips with #brexit "was this really what you envisaged you were going to get"
Once again they say there was a very strong instruction to Parliament - the minority was a tiny percentage - this can't be seen as a strong instruction.

So, what will @theresa_may do at 5?

* Resign as PM?

Seems unlikely. She's just sat through hours of questioning in the Commons. Why put yourself through it just to throw the towel in?

* Resign as leader?

Takes control of leadership election timing but very high risk strategy.
Danger is that some people do stand against her and she is damaged beyond repair in the first round.

* Offer a #PeoplesVote?

She heard the Commons. She knows that her deal won't get through. Is this her solution? Would be incredible politics and would stop leadership talk.
Reason? There are not enough ERG fanatics to get to 58 for the trigger.

* Just Battle On

Most likely option is that she just explains that there is nothing else on the table and so you'd better stop moaning and get on with it.

Waiting for the start of the Brexit What's The Deal event at Bracknell Open Learning Centre organised by Berkshire for Europe.
We'll be live tweeting the event, so watch this space.
If you are at the event, use the hashtag #WhatsTheDealBracknell on social media.
It promises to be an interesting evening, particularly with the news this afternoon that Railways Minister @JoJohnsonUK has resigned from the government and spoken out in favour of a #PeoplesVote on Brexit rather than the choice of no deal or a bad deal.
Our speakers this evening are:
Bracknell MP @DrPhillipLeeMP who was one of the early MPs to resign their ministerial post over Brexit (for the right reasons)

@PbaxterPeter @f_grovewhite Let’s think. 1) leavers haven’t come up with a plan. 2) we were told by the PM that we were “citizens of nowhere” and that our views didn’t count 3) a narrow victory was taken as a landslide 1/?
@PbaxterPeter @f_grovewhite 4) a one question advisory poll became a mandate for state control of migration, pulling out of the single market, euratom, open skies, europol, the customs union, and dozens more, adding thousands of bureaucrats to the state payroll 2/?
@PbaxterPeter @f_grovewhite 5) the government tried to assume absolute power to decide without parliament 6) parliament then supinely voted to avoid scrutiny of future trade bills 7) 3 million EU citizens were described as “bargaining chips” 3/?

Here follows a well crafted summary of the U.K. #Brexit position from the @guardian CIF section:
1. We are < 1% of global population (less without Scotland) To put things into perspective India produces more honours graduates than we produce kids.
2a. Without the economic muscle of the EU we do not have the means to get good trade agreements (Trade Agreements are staggeringly complex legal documents.
2b. Signing them is easy, getting a good one is the trick and that takes time, a team of knowledgeable and experienced negotiators and economic muscle, all which we don't have).
