It pays to serve Jesus, I speak from my heart,
He'll always be with us, if we do our part
There's naught in this wide world can pleasure afford;
There's peace and contentment in serving the Lord.
CHORUS
I love Him far better than in days of yore
I'll serve Him more truly than ever before,
I'll do as He bids me, whatever the cost,
I'll be a true soldier, I'll die at my post.
And oft when I'm tempted to turn from the track,
I think of my Saviour, my mind wanders back
To the place where they nailed Him on Calvary's tree.
I heard a voice saying, "I suffered for thee."
A place I remember where I was set free,
'Twas where I found pardon, a heaven to me.
There Jesus spoke sweetly to my weary soul,
My sins were forgiven, He made my heart whole.
How rich is the blessing the world cannot give,
I'm satisfied fully for Jesus to live;
Though friends may forsake me and trial arise,
I am trusting Jesus, His love never dies.
There is no one like Jesus can cheer me today.
His love and His kindness can ne'er fade away,
In winter and summer, in sunshine and rain,
His love and affection are always the same.
Will you have this blessing that Jesus bestows,
A free full salvation from sin's bitter throes?
O come to the Saviour, to Calvary flee,
The fountain is opened, is flowing for thee.

To the Students and Teachers of the Word

How to remain Inspired in Understanding and teaching the Word

Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord (Romans 12:11 AMP).
One of the striking benefits of prevailing prayer and
meditating on the Word is that they help you maintain the fire of the Spirit. The only way I’ve kept my spirit aglow for so many years is through prevailing prayer, and consciously setting my mind to meditate on the Word. It doesn’t matter what you’ve studied or known about God;
it doesn’t even matter what blessings you receive from the Lord; if you’re not a praying person, you’ll lose the spiritual fervour or glow that comes with the Word.
There’s something about the Word of God that has power. It’s not in the words and how they sound; it’s not even in

It is easy to ridicule a believer
People may applaud you and it might make you feel good about yourself
(Many of us actually make sport of others because it makes us feel somehow as if we are better than them)
Truth is, you're better than no one
It is an illusion, a delusion
It is difficult to be a believer
To stand for the reality of Christ in a world given to self-adulation
To post about your faith and talk about His Kingdom
To be labeled a fanatic, a hill billy, a simpleton
I remember posting on Twitter once, a warning to some witches
I was mocked
I was ridiculed
It was terrible
Those mocking and calling me names didn't know that a lady came into my DM to make a report about her sister-in-law & some others who were witches
She said they wanted to initiate her into witchcraft
She said no and they appeared to her in a dream

It was a technical disobedience
The one in which you disobey in action while you tried to keep an appearance of obedience
The Lord tells you not to do something, so you don't do it directly but you do it indirectly and expect God to understand
That kind of disobedience where it
would seem as if you are fooling God
The man came to see the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
He was a senior executive with NEPA
He was a believer, a pastor
The jurisdiction his office covered was industrial
A lot of textile factories depended on the goodwill of his office for
electricity distribution
Their cost of production significantly lessens when they use the government's electricity supply rather their industrial generators
Before he got promoted to the head of that station, he fasted and prayed for breakthrough
He had been due for promotion for

The model was not sustainable
He realized that too late
He graduated from the university and found himself in the labour market
The monthly allowance from NYSC had been his only source of real income after graduation
He had high hopes he would get a job right after serving but
things didn't pan out that way
After two years of roaming the street in search of a good job, he decided to settle for anything he could get
What he got was a job as a security guard
The salary was 18000 naira per month
It was an insult of a job and the conditions were inhumane
He and another guard would be sharing a small security room in an office day and night for six days a week
He got only a day off
He wouldn't have taken the job under any circumstances but his older sister whom he was living with won the American visa lottery and left the country

How do you think Obed Edom felt when King David insisted on moving the Ark of the covenant out of his house to a central place where it would benefit the whole of Israel?
How do you think the people around Obed Edom felt?
What do you think Obed Edom's wife and children said to
their father
If you were Obed Edom, how would you feel?
You were born without much in terms of money and property
Your family house was located in Jabesh Gilead (The outskirts of Israel sharing boundaries with the land of the Philistines
The Ark came to you by sheer happenstance
It was captured in battle by the Philistines and taken to their land
The Philistines placed the Ark in the House of dagon, their god
The Ark visited the land of the Philistines with great wrath and vengeance
The Ark also broke dagon to pieces
The philistines went to consult the

I know a Christian who prayed fervently for up to 9 hours a day for about five years. On many occasions, she turned hunger to a fast for lack of food to eat with her children
This woman didn't have a job or learn a trade. She was a full housewife before her husband died.
All she did was sit at home and pray
She was dirt poor and even her children despised her
She invited me to her home one day and asked me why God has not changed her story despite all her hours of praying and fasting
I said "Why didn't you get a job? Start a trade? become an
apprentice
somewhere? Is praying a job? Is praying a source of income and blessing? No.
The next day, she went to a friend who has a pharmacy and asked if she could be coming to work for four hours every day for a stipend
The friend agreed
Two weeks later, somebody came to the
