To the Students and Teachers of the Word

How to remain Inspired in Understanding and teaching the Word

Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord (Romans 12:11 AMP).
One of the striking benefits of prevailing prayer and
meditating on the Word is that they help you maintain the fire of the Spirit. The only way I’ve kept my spirit aglow for so many years is through prevailing prayer, and consciously setting my mind to meditate on the Word. It doesn’t matter what you’ve studied or known about God;
it doesn’t even matter what blessings you receive from the Lord; if you’re not a praying person, you’ll lose the spiritual fervour or glow that comes with the Word.
There’s something about the Word of God that has power. It’s not in the words and how they sound; it’s not even in
the message itself that it communicates; no. It’s in the power of the Spirit that’s wrapped up in it. Recall what we read in our opening verse: The Moffat’s translation uses the phrase, “Maintain the glow,” for “fervent in Spirit.” There’s a glow of the Spirit in your life that
you must maintain through fellowship with the Lord in prayer and meditation on the Word
Something that meditation does for you is that it drives the Word deep into your spirit and causes it to mingle with your spirit. So, when you study the Word of God, meditate on it; that means
, mutter it! When you read or hear the Word, as the case maybe, say it aloud to yourself repeatedly so that it gains the ascendancy in your spirit until it becomes a part of you. Then the glory of it will be manifested in your life.
Prayer, on the other hand, is equally very
impactful on your spirit. The importance of prayer isn’t so much about the answer that you receive when you pray, but the impact your fellowship with the Lord in prayer has on your spirit; it causes your spirit to glow. Every time you pray, your spirit becomes even more glorious
than it was before you began praying. That glory is retained in your inner man and then you find yourself walking in the paths of destiny; you find yourself being at the right place, at the right time, doing the right things.
Be aglow in the Spirit, through prayer and study of
the Word!

Practical Example: I sat in Theikos Doxa today listening to Pastor Alex’s sermon, suddenly the Holy Spirit said “Let me teach you something! And just like that, he showed me Elijah in Mount Carmel and the Upper room experience of Acts 2. He said Now you know it. And
yes, I did. When I got on the altar, I was able to put what he showed me into words and His people were blessed. It wasn’t the first time He would do that. I am always awed when He does. He is perfect

The video of the programme was posted below, you can fast forward to
1 hour :49 minutes for the part i am making reference to but the entire service will bless you too. The message was short. i believe it will inspire you to keep your heart aglow in the Holy Spirit

A wife cheated in a marriage and it was found out. The husband felt used and abused. After a long time of reflection, he decided to revenge
To repay cheating for cheating! He got online and started following hookups and chat rooms with sexual offerings
After sometime he got what
he wanted, a sexual engagement with a lady online
They met at the hotel & he slept with the lady
In his mind, he had evened the score
Days after the deed, things started falling out of place for him
His conscience became heavy, he couldn't concentrate at work and he felt no peace
He experienced all the emotions that cheats and unfaithful people experience all the time that robs them of self-respect and human dignity
He had mortgaged his worth like Esau mortgaged his birthright
He couldn't confess the deed to his wife because he was certain it would make

His mother died when he was 12 years old
His father started raising the five of them y himself
His two younger ones were 10 and 8 years old respectively
The older ones were already in secondary school
They were aged 12 and 15 respectively
He ought to have been in secondary school
too but he had some challenges in primary school and had to repeat some classes
It was later discovered that the challenge had nothing to do with his brain but much to do with his eyes
By the time he was given a pair of glasses and he started picking up, he had lost two years
his mother died just as he and his immediate younger sister were writing the common entrance examination
She was said to have been afflicted by a strange disease
Doctors couldn't fathom it and neither could any of the spiritualists her father and relatives took her to for help

It is easy to ridicule a believer
People may applaud you and it might make you feel good about yourself
(Many of us actually make sport of others because it makes us feel somehow as if we are better than them)
Truth is, you're better than no one
It is an illusion, a delusion
It is difficult to be a believer
To stand for the reality of Christ in a world given to self-adulation
To post about your faith and talk about His Kingdom
To be labeled a fanatic, a hill billy, a simpleton
I remember posting on Twitter once, a warning to some witches
I was mocked
I was ridiculed
It was terrible
Those mocking and calling me names didn't know that a lady came into my DM to make a report about her sister-in-law & some others who were witches
She said they wanted to initiate her into witchcraft
She said no and they appeared to her in a dream

It pays to serve Jesus, I speak from my heart,
He'll always be with us, if we do our part
There's naught in this wide world can pleasure afford;
There's peace and contentment in serving the Lord.
CHORUS
I love Him far better than in days of yore
I'll serve Him more truly than ever before,
I'll do as He bids me, whatever the cost,
I'll be a true soldier, I'll die at my post.
And oft when I'm tempted to turn from the track,
I think of my Saviour, my mind wanders back
To the place where they nailed Him on Calvary's tree.
I heard a voice saying, "I suffered for thee."

It was a technical disobedience
The one in which you disobey in action while you tried to keep an appearance of obedience
The Lord tells you not to do something, so you don't do it directly but you do it indirectly and expect God to understand
That kind of disobedience where it
would seem as if you are fooling God
The man came to see the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
He was a senior executive with NEPA
He was a believer, a pastor
The jurisdiction his office covered was industrial
A lot of textile factories depended on the goodwill of his office for
electricity distribution
Their cost of production significantly lessens when they use the government's electricity supply rather their industrial generators
Before he got promoted to the head of that station, he fasted and prayed for breakthrough
He had been due for promotion for

The model was not sustainable
He realized that too late
He graduated from the university and found himself in the labour market
The monthly allowance from NYSC had been his only source of real income after graduation
He had high hopes he would get a job right after serving but
things didn't pan out that way
After two years of roaming the street in search of a good job, he decided to settle for anything he could get
What he got was a job as a security guard
The salary was 18000 naira per month
It was an insult of a job and the conditions were inhumane
He and another guard would be sharing a small security room in an office day and night for six days a week
He got only a day off
He wouldn't have taken the job under any circumstances but his older sister whom he was living with won the American visa lottery and left the country
