It is easy to ridicule a believer
People may applaud you and it might make you feel good about yourself
(Many of us actually make sport of others because it makes us feel somehow as if we are better than them)
Truth is, you're better than no one
It is an illusion, a delusion
It is difficult to be a believer
To stand for the reality of Christ in a world given to self-adulation
To post about your faith and talk about His Kingdom
To be labeled a fanatic, a hill billy, a simpleton
I remember posting on Twitter once, a warning to some witches
I was mocked
I was ridiculed
It was terrible
Those mocking and calling me names didn't know that a lady came into my DM to make a report about her sister-in-law & some others who were witches
She said they wanted to initiate her into witchcraft
She said no and they appeared to her in a dream
and cut out her womb
From that day she started suffering from miscarriages
After the eighth miscarriage, she reached out for help
It was the lady that told me, that her sister-in-law and the friends were all on Twitter and just like her they were my followers
I met with the lady
in my office and the Holy Spirit set her free
I couldn't approach her sisters directly to tell them what the Holy Spirit said while I was praying for the lady
The Holy Spirit said He is willing to save them if they would repent but if they do not they would die
I have a duty to
myself and the kingdom of God to deliver the message
The one neutral medium we all share was Twitter
So I posted the message here
I Issued a warning to the witches here knowing they would see it and will repent rather than perish
Twitter trolls saw it and decided to poke their
noses into the matter
Some retweeted with jibes, some quoted the tweet and passed comments that made me feel like going back to the village to dodge the bullet
Some ignored
Others retweeted and said AMEN.
Some of those close to me sent me a message to pull the tweet down, they
felt it was too controversial
They felt i was happy the message bringing ,me so much ridicule remained pinned to my handle
They didn't know that after posting it and seeing the nasty comments I logged out of Twitter for five days
I couldn't bear the backlash
And the backlash was
heavy
When I checked my DM after the five days, three of the twenty-one witches had sent me messages
Somehow the Holy Spirit had touched their heart and they wanted to chat with me on WhatsApp to find a way out
I reached out to them and they got born again
From that point I got
the message
What is a little ridicule when weighed against the result?
Even if it is just one soul that was saved, wouldn't it be worth it?
Even if none of the witches responded, wouldn't my obedience to the Holy Spirit worth the derision?
Would I have benefitted anything from
strangers who wouldn't have paid me any attention if they didn't see the tweet and felt it was worthy of their stones?
I had issued a 21 days ultimatum and i had wanted to chicken out after day 5
I left the tweet for twenty-one days
By the end of the twenty one days 18 people had
responded
Some from the woman's friends and others from other places that i didn't even know
One of them came to my office in Magodo all the way from Ghana!
Another one was sick to the point of death and she sent her daughter to come and present her case for restitution
Oh my!
I could have resisted the impulse to post that tweet and spare myself the ridicule that followed but the ridicule paled significantly when I saw what the Holy Spirit did with those precious souls
My brother, my sister, it pays to serve Jesus
It pays to do His bidding whatever the
cost
The people whose opinion you fear or defer to are scrambling in darkness
Have you heard darkness speaking before?
It can only speak from the depth of what it knows
The light therefore cannot expect darkness to cheer or clap it to success
To be ignorant is to be in darkness
Whatever the Holy Spirit has laid on your heart to do, i beg you to please do it
Sentiment will earn you rebuke from the One whose opinion really matters at the end of the day
Shall I please twitter trolls and displease the Lord?
Are you there?
Are you listening?
Are you paying
attention?
Your Twitter handle serves you best when it is an avenue where the Holy Spirit finds expression to reach out to the world and draw people into the light
If you live to please yourself, self will wilt and fade
Live to please the Lord
He is all that matters!
Good morning

To the Students and Teachers of the Word

How to remain Inspired in Understanding and teaching the Word

Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord (Romans 12:11 AMP).
One of the striking benefits of prevailing prayer and
meditating on the Word is that they help you maintain the fire of the Spirit. The only way I’ve kept my spirit aglow for so many years is through prevailing prayer, and consciously setting my mind to meditate on the Word. It doesn’t matter what you’ve studied or known about God;
it doesn’t even matter what blessings you receive from the Lord; if you’re not a praying person, you’ll lose the spiritual fervour or glow that comes with the Word.
There’s something about the Word of God that has power. It’s not in the words and how they sound; it’s not even in

It pays to serve Jesus, I speak from my heart,
He'll always be with us, if we do our part
There's naught in this wide world can pleasure afford;
There's peace and contentment in serving the Lord.
CHORUS
I love Him far better than in days of yore
I'll serve Him more truly than ever before,
I'll do as He bids me, whatever the cost,
I'll be a true soldier, I'll die at my post.
And oft when I'm tempted to turn from the track,
I think of my Saviour, my mind wanders back
To the place where they nailed Him on Calvary's tree.
I heard a voice saying, "I suffered for thee."

It was a technical disobedience
The one in which you disobey in action while you tried to keep an appearance of obedience
The Lord tells you not to do something, so you don't do it directly but you do it indirectly and expect God to understand
That kind of disobedience where it
would seem as if you are fooling God
The man came to see the Brother in Jeans and T-shirt
He was a senior executive with NEPA
He was a believer, a pastor
The jurisdiction his office covered was industrial
A lot of textile factories depended on the goodwill of his office for
electricity distribution
Their cost of production significantly lessens when they use the government's electricity supply rather their industrial generators
Before he got promoted to the head of that station, he fasted and prayed for breakthrough
He had been due for promotion for

The model was not sustainable
He realized that too late
He graduated from the university and found himself in the labour market
The monthly allowance from NYSC had been his only source of real income after graduation
He had high hopes he would get a job right after serving but
things didn't pan out that way
After two years of roaming the street in search of a good job, he decided to settle for anything he could get
What he got was a job as a security guard
The salary was 18000 naira per month
It was an insult of a job and the conditions were inhumane
He and another guard would be sharing a small security room in an office day and night for six days a week
He got only a day off
He wouldn't have taken the job under any circumstances but his older sister whom he was living with won the American visa lottery and left the country

How do you think Obed Edom felt when King David insisted on moving the Ark of the covenant out of his house to a central place where it would benefit the whole of Israel?
How do you think the people around Obed Edom felt?
What do you think Obed Edom's wife and children said to
their father
If you were Obed Edom, how would you feel?
You were born without much in terms of money and property
Your family house was located in Jabesh Gilead (The outskirts of Israel sharing boundaries with the land of the Philistines
The Ark came to you by sheer happenstance
It was captured in battle by the Philistines and taken to their land
The Philistines placed the Ark in the House of dagon, their god
The Ark visited the land of the Philistines with great wrath and vengeance
The Ark also broke dagon to pieces
The philistines went to consult the

I know a Christian who prayed fervently for up to 9 hours a day for about five years. On many occasions, she turned hunger to a fast for lack of food to eat with her children
This woman didn't have a job or learn a trade. She was a full housewife before her husband died.
All she did was sit at home and pray
She was dirt poor and even her children despised her
She invited me to her home one day and asked me why God has not changed her story despite all her hours of praying and fasting
I said "Why didn't you get a job? Start a trade? become an
apprentice
somewhere? Is praying a job? Is praying a source of income and blessing? No.
The next day, she went to a friend who has a pharmacy and asked if she could be coming to work for four hours every day for a stipend
The friend agreed
Two weeks later, somebody came to the
