#KeremBürsin InspecTrends translations thread ⬇️
He was asked about how 2020 changed in his life style and what it added
K: it added a lot of things, i think we all learned how to live in a more minimalist way, we realized the value of some freedoms we had, just how you only realize the worth of something after you lose it
K: like going out without a mask, so you understand better the value of somethings, i also think i learned to cook, i can cook pretty well now, also at the end of the day, you make a lot of research, read articles etc and realize how connected everything is
K: for example, how humands treat terribly our planet and its consequences, we dont live in a clean planet, and when you ask yourself those questions like whats the planet's problems, whats humanity's problems, you admit that we have to change our life style, for the future
K: i hope this was a lesson to all of us, i remember when the pandemic first started, everything was shut down for the first 3 months, the whole world even, and in those 3 months, when we see how it benefitted our nature
You realize that sure, the world is ruled by a capitalist system and factories etc but it was really nice how fast nature recovered just during that short shut down and as humanity, thats the main lesson we should learn, otherwise this lifestyle wont benefit anyone
Not even the capitalist companies. Thats what i wanted to add.
Q: how did living in different countries and cultures affect your character ?
K: of course it affected me, i learned how to quickly adapt to things, situations, places and people, bc yes sometimes i had to spend 2years somewhere then another 2/4 years somewhere else
K: so i was always moving around, and back then we didnt have social media, so you suddenly lose touch with people and find yourself having to connect with other people, and as i said, it teaches you to adapt, empathize, understanding and respect, bc each culture is very different
K: like one thing you can do somewhere is disrespectful somewhere else, and understanding that was good for me, being able to use that in my life now is important
K: respecting cultures and people is important, respecting with prejeduce and judgement, like if you believe in something or do something, thats okay, im open to it
K: cultures and geography etc might be different but you realize that people arent different, like i switched schools a lot but still in every school people where divided into the same kind of types and groups, like the popular kids, the cool ones etc all schools were the same
K: sometimes its nice to be able to hit the reset button, but sometimes you tell yourself "too bad you dont have many childhood friends"
K: when i was in highschool and university abroad i did a lot of theater plays and musicals, and after shooting two movies, i had a bit of a turn, i actually didnt know much about the industry here in turkey, i only came here to see relatives and left
But i came here due to life cirumstances and while i was here i wondered if i should keep on acting, and then a few things happened by chance here, otherwise i was going to go back and leave
Q: i want to talk about your first work here in turkey, your turkish career started with Güneşin kızları..
K: güneşi beklerken
Q: it was watched by a lot of ppl, do you sometimes miss your "Kerem" character ?
K: i do miss my character but i want to correct one thing, güneşin kızları is Hande's, i acted in güneşi beklerken
Q: so sorry
K: no its okay
Q: confusion happens when your partners
K: its not important at all its okay, the names are similar, same thing
K: i miss kerem of course, he was a fun character but an asshole, i dont know if i can say asshole but its my third time saying asshole anyway, playing asshole characters is fun
Q: lets talk about your current dizi that airs on saturday, youre now portraying serkan bolat in sçk
K: hes an asshole too
Q: hes someone who closed off himself due to childhood traumas until he met Eda, do you have anything in commun with serkan in reality ?
K: hes a bit obsessive guy ( in the sense of gets fixated on things) and so i am
K: but i called serkan an asshole and i dont really want to call myself that so you will have to ask my friends about that, but i dont think im that similar to serkan, like childhood traumas etc and i just got a text telling me to stop saying asshole
K: as i said, we're not really similar, he has his fixations and i have mine, we're a bit different but playing different characters is more fun for the actor
Q: what was the detail that attracted you to the script when u first read it ?
K: there is been a lot of romcoms done and its really easy to fall into clichés specially when its a tv production, bc tv production are totally different with a longer airing time and scripts
K: so the script writer has to be able to handle those clichés for the project to last for a long time, but how those clichés are portrayed, the dialogues between characters are very important
K: and when i read the script i told myself that sure it has clichés but i want to bring those clichés to life, it was very well written and the first script that didnt make me sigh at the clichés
Q: the ppl bringing life to those characters add things to the dizi and it makes you avoid clichés
K: for sure
Q: with your acting, we can see you succeded at it, through ratings and sçk's global success, we see it
K: its also nice that for dizi, the thing that affected me was how its portrayal of strong women standing tall and challenging assholes, unfortunately since we see women differently on tv it was important for me, and anyway, if it was against that i wouldnt have done the project
Also text was from gunfer, he said it but i forgot to type it sorry !
Q: your team and hande have an amazing energy, what do u think is the reason for your harmony with hande ?
K: we trust each other, and since the trust we always listened to each other, worked together during quarantine and worked with our acting coach
K: but the most important things is that we trusted and believed each other, what we talked about was more professional but as a person, shes someone i get along with well and love a lot, and that makes our work easier bc it makes it fun
K: we're bringing life into an imaginary world, and being able to do that with a friend i love is pretty different, so as i said, its trust, we trust each other both as people and professionally, but the team makes that possible
Q: i think that the reason behind the dizis success is the harmony between you and your partner and team behind the scenes, as viewers we can feel your energy, and thats the spirit of sçk
K: youre very right
Q: in an interview, you said that music helps you portray characters, you even said that you have a Bolat playlist, whats the song you play the most in the playlist ?
K: two songs come to my mind first, one is a song that director yusuf sent me when we were shooting the 1st ep
K: and he probably knew that i connect to characters through songs, it was Bobby McFerrin's thinkin about your body, its an amazing song, and when i had such support from the director it was very valuable
K: the other one was Foxy lady by Jimi Hendrix, that one really put me into my Serkan Bolat mood
Q: i think all our viewers will add those two songs now to their playlists and listen to them, youre working on both sçk and your digital project sets at the same time, how does playing both different haracters now affect you?
K: its hard, tv production is busy tempo work and doing aynen aynen in between, so i dont have time to prepare for character, i have to get into character two hours after set is done for the other. If im being honest, deniz isnt that difficult but with serkan bolat it can be hard
Q: both are different, one lives by the rules and the other is more relaxed and chill, it must be hard for you. Do you think the key to success for acting on set is ambition and chance or physical caracteristics ?
K: definetly not physical, and it shouldnt be. Unfortunately there is that stereotype and there are producers who request that but i cant say that, i think its chance, but what is success ? Being famous isnt really success
K: doing acting in your life is success in itself, it can be in theater too, not all actors can play any role, any actor who can portray the spirit of their character is a succesful actor i think
Q: what do you usually do to feel at peace ?
K: i exercise, i go to the gym and those kind of moments clear up my mind and put me at ease, being with my family too
Q: how is your relation with technology ? How long can you live without your phone ?
K: if i can manage my work without my phone then i can throw it, im not someone attached to my phone, i have 2000 mails and whatsapp texts but i dont care for it
K:unfortunately, in life, phone is now another limb for us, but with social media i wasnt that into it in the past, but i think im getting better, sometimes i feel embarassed of myself, but im not that bad
Q: if you were to be able to ensure one thing for humanity what would it be ?
K: equality, for women, classes etc, i think we could have been living in a better world with that
Q: tell us a surprising info about yourself that no one knows
K: i dont know its a hard question, there is probably millions of stuff but i dont know what can be shared
Q: then lets skip this question, do you think working makes you feel independent or depressed ?
Q: whats your work motivation?
K: my motivation is doing a job i love, if i was doing smtg i dont like then working for me would be for independence but if my job was stopping me from doing what i love it would make me depressed
K:in english we say its a double edged sword, and i know that not everyone has the chance to do what they love but i wish for everyone to have that, if only we lived in a world where everyone was able to do what they love without getting judged
K: im very happy to be able to do what i love and it makes me feel very lucky
Q: lately do you have any passion youre developping ?
K: ive been building legos like crazy but not really... i want to take piano lessons and ive been working for the last 2 years for women right
K: and thats also very important for me
Q: we know from watching your interviews that you want a movie abt it and i hope we see you on such a project
K: its a part of my life now, i want to be an activist in it and i hope at one point to be able to spread info
K: its important to me
Q: we will now move to the questions we got from social media, i hope i dont mess it up and get attacked by fans, do you have a dream you thought youd never achieve but you still achieved it ?
K: acting, its been my dream since i was 13
K: being able to do it now is amazing, it was my number one dream.
Q: is there a show or movie youve seen lately that left an impression on you ?
K: ive watched peaky blinders for the first time lately and they make fun of me for it on set, i really loved the show, at first i watched it and got bored but it got strong after, its a good show
K: for a film, ive seen a documentary called white noise about racism in the usa, its a documentary about white supermacy, its good and i recommend it
Q: whats first 3 things in your to do list ?
K: seeing my nephew right away, getting lost in nature, i really want that, living a life among nature, the 3rd thing is my family, i miss them a lot and want to see them, i dont have any other goals for now
Q: what did you do with your first paycheck ?
K:a very good question, i have to remember my first paycheck, i was in highschool, i got a base guitar bc i wanted to have a band
Q: whats the weirdest or best gift you ever got ?
K: i got a gift last month from someone i dont know, someone who follows me from the dizi or social media, but it was a thoughtful gift, think about a mat with thorns on top to lay on, the thorns hurt a lot but it distresses
K: it was very thoughtful and i love it, i use it a lot, so i thank that person
Q: whats the most important quality in a person ?
K: respect, bc everything comes with someone respectful, understand, empathy etc
Q: last question, do you have an advice to take from15/16yo Kerem Bürsin?
K: at 15 ? 15yo me is probably... i dont know, i was into theater and music, i think 15yo me would be surprised and wouldnt have any advice to give
And thaaats a wrap my fingers hurt

I love hulkers fight scene so much its so angsty and for any other couple it would have been problematic but for them it worked bc the fight was really serious and both parties were right and wrong
I know a lot of people blame kerim for it but he bottled it up for days even after he found out just because he didnt wanna lose her, he knew the moment it was out its over, and the way he found out made everything worse
All of hulyas circle knew (melek mahir nilay kaya zeynep huseyin) and he was the only one kept in the dark, her husband who was supposed to be the first one to know about it
