I've seen @MaraGay of NYT ed board utter similar, if not stronger statements, about a range of issues on @MSNBC @11thHour on the reg. I don't know what NYT counts as 'biased' tweets/reporting, but any conservative friend of mine looking at Gay's page wld say she's obvs "woke",2/8

which doesn't prevent her in anywise from being an excellent editor/reporter. So excuse my outrage when a
conscientious freelance editor gets the boot in one moment & in the next upholds the reputation of NYT that scorned her-telling folx like me not to unsubscribe in protest3/8

In a post-truth moment the old saws of journalism are being reviewed & revised on the fly. So I've continued to search for some reason for @Wolfe321 dismissal-other than appeasing forces that don't give 2 shits about NYT standard as paper of record. But the wyt terrorists...4/8

SO, @nytimes wants to appear objective for the MAGA crowd (too late), but @deanbaquet wants me to keep paying the NYT piper so he can defend a white male reporter behaving badly: do #BLM too? To be clear,I'm not into cancel culture. Hell, I was publicly canceled in your paper5/8

But @nytimes dedication to McNeil smacks of Trump apologists' defense of misdeeds ranging from grab em by the p%$^y to Mexicans are r@p^sts. To quote NYT big boss, who is black like me: "While Baquet said McNeil’s comments were “offensive” & “showed extremely poor judgement..”6/8

.."he determined that McNeil’s intentions were not “hateful or malicious” & that [the white man] deserved another chance." So PLS chalk up Ms. @Wolfe321 relief at the departure from WH of new GOP necropolitics & arrival of old DNC neoliberal BS to something equally innocuous 7/8
