@Kaleido45374749 As for this tidbit. The twinning of the highway is a major infrastructure investment. It isn’t to improve access to camping sites. It’s probably part of China’s BRI. The Belt and Road Initiative.
@Kaleido45374749 A more appropriate provincial choice would have been to twin the highway to Ft Mac. There have been a number of deaths on the highway and it’s been sites as high priority for several years.

But this road in central Alberta won out.

Why?
@Kaleido45374749 Because the corridor to Rocky Mountain House is where China wants to go and provides access to the natural resources China wants. Along with a few other foreign buyers.

What’s under those mountains? A huge natural gas reserve. Coal in the mountains and pristine timber.
@Kaleido45374749 Twinning the Road to Rocky Mountain House means expanding major transportation corridors. From RMH to rail transport corridor to the coast. What is under central Alberta? A hell of a lot of natural gas. And who wants it?
@Kaleido45374749 Harper signed the FIPA with China in 2012, but it wasn’t ratified until he slipped it in without debate in 2014.

Who were the main players behind the trade deal? Harper, Kenney as his right hand man, O’Toole as Secretary to Minister of International Trade, & Minister Ed Fast.
@Kaleido45374749 Fast had a stroke in 2014, so O’Toole was probably more instrumental in getting ratification for FIPA. Fast recovered and is currently the MP for Abbotsford.

Harper and Kenney are delivering the product China bought: Natural gas.
@Kaleido45374749 It’s completely irrelevant to China what happens to the region or the people and wildlife that inhabit the region. They want the Natural Gas & the profits. Period.

Coastline Gas Line issues February 2020. Kenney was highly involved and used AIMco to purchase investment shares.
@Kaleido45374749 KKR owner (Henry Kravis) is majority share owner. KKR and AIMco bought majority share of CGL pipeline December 26, 2019. By February 6, 2020, the RCMP were removing protesters from Wetʼsuwetʼen.
@Kaleido45374749 Kravis is directly connected to Trump. He donated $1M for Trump’s inauguration and was being considered for Treasury Secretary (Mnuchin eventually got the job).

The claims of GOP politicians and Cons who denigrate China are ridiculous. Same with Trump & “China virus.”
@Kaleido45374749 Trump and China both want access to Canadian oil sands and natural gas. They are too directly linked for it to be a coincidence.

Many don’t remember but Trump Admin and China signed a two year trade deal in October 2019. China committed to purchase $50B in energy over 2 years.
@Kaleido45374749 There is your angst in KXL and CGL. $50B is a significant chunk of change.

China’s plan is to purchase raw bitumen energy from US. Upgrade it in China and make billions in profits selling it at standard market price.
@Kaleido45374749 US developers get a cut because they purchase it from Canada at minimal price, almost non existent royalties and reduced price because of KXL bottleneck. Rail is used to transport the rest. But it cuts into their profits.
@Kaleido45374749 A pipeline would increase the price because its reliable and plentiful supply and product won’t pile up requiring storage and cut out the rail cost to profits to US producers. The second bitumin leaves Canada, it’s a US asset. No longer Canadian.
@Kaleido45374749 So the $50B in US energy is primarily Canadian energy. Who gets shafted in the deal? Albertans.

Huge profits will be made in Asia selling refined bitumen. It’s no different than Saudi Brent Standard after its refined.

Let’s look at LNG. Who did BCNDP approve for LNG?
@Kaleido45374749 LNG Canada

Who owns LNG Canada?

Shell- state owned shares by Netherlands/UK private investors

PETRONAS - star owned by Malaysia

Petrochina - state owned by China

Mitsubishi - private Japanese investors

Korea Gas Corp - state owned by Korea.

@Kaleido45374749 What is holding up pipelines in Canada? FN and other indigenous treaty land claims.

What are the current threats to treaty land claims? Seven conservative premiers, a wannabe PM O’Toole and a stacked senate would turn Canada into a republic and rewrite the constitution.
@Kaleido45374749 That would eliminate every treaty because treaties are between FN and the Crown.

No Crown, no treaties. A clear path to unfettered development & a new constitution that wipes out human rights and inserts property rights as the only right recognized (besides religious freedom).
@Kaleido45374749 That’s been the plan since Harper sold Canada’s sovereignty to China and many other nations using FIPAs.

That’s why Kenney is laying an egg over KXL. That’s why mountain tops that leach selenium into headwaters and grasslands have been approved.
@Kaleido45374749 That’s why a highway is being built in central Alberta. Watch for a pipeline to be proposed to link to CGL pipeline to transport NG to LNG plant in Kitimat.

Who screamed the loudest over Bill C-48 blocking large tanker deep water port in Kitimat? Kenney and CPC.
@Kaleido45374749 Who screamed the loudest when Bill C-69 was approved imposing a new approval regimen connected to Climate Plans adopted by Government of Canada? Kenney and CPC.

The same people who sold Canada’s resources to the highest bidders. Using FIPAs.
@Kaleido45374749 That’s the plan. Western Canada will be an environmental wasteland. So any of these people care? Not a stitch.

What has Atlas Network and Macdonald Laurier Institute been doing in FN communities since 2013?

Tempting FN people with the escape from poverty by allowing this.
@Kaleido45374749 Who has given their unanimous approval for chipping off the mountain tops in Southern Alberta?

rivresources.com/site/Projects/…

FN have also been bought and sold out for access to billions. I don’t blame them. But it’s not the wisest decision since Westwrn Canada will be uninhabitable.
@Kaleido45374749 The plan is to increase fracking (ask Oklahoma, the highest earthquake prone zone in US about fracking). Unrestrained strip mining of energy and mineral resources. Use of scarce resources like fresh water to aid development.
@Kaleido45374749 People and places don’t matter to these architects of anarcho-capitalism.

That’s Alberta’s future. No edible food production because of drought & pollution. No drinking water because of polluted headwaters. No local economy except energy production and harvesting of resources.
@Kaleido45374749 This usually happens in third world or developing nations. “Powers that be” drain every resource from the nation and leave environmental wastelands, poverty and demoralized, unhealthy people in a polarized chaotic corrupt political mess. Many result in civil wars.
@Kaleido45374749 That’s what I’ve been trying to inform Canadians about for 4 years.

I tried with the truth 3.5 years ago and was immediately written off as a conspiracy theorist.

But the chaos and corruption predicted by scientists due to depleted resources and climate change is here.
@Kaleido45374749 There are parts of the globe that will be hit harder than others. Predictions for Alberta are drought, hotter temperatures, & loss of fresh water (so why save it for drinking).

thestar.com/edmonton/2018/…
@Kaleido45374749 Climate change will make Alberta uninhabitable for most local species and very difficult for human beings. The predictions are for 2080.

Without social supports, many will die, leave, or suffer a horrible existence.
@Kaleido45374749 That’s the modern conservative’s plan (they’re actually modern 21st Century fascists). They believe in climate change, they just don’t believe Alberta or it’s environment, people or economy are worth saving. But it’s good for harvesting. And profits.

Dr. Fauci is a renowned expert.

Here he communicates why the vaccination of as many people as possible as quickly is possible is required.

This completely debunks the conservatives rationale that lives<or=livelihoods debate. Entirely!
I’ll explain in more detail.

We now have two deadlier and more contagious variants of Covid circulating across the globe. The vaccines developed are less than 95% effective. It’s more like 50%, maybe less.

Some believe it’s hardly worth the effort to achieve 50% efficacy.
This is untrue. Viruses mutate quickly and effectively when transmitted from person to person. Becoming infected allows the virus to mutate. Eliminate transmission or widespread infection, and the virus’s ability to mutate into deadlier forms is eliminated.

Please read this tweet and the embedded threads too. 💥🚨💥🚨💥🚨

Actual treason with proof in spades.

The only question left is who else was involved in the conspiracy to overthrow the US government.
What’s horrifying is that GOP Senators who are implicated, will be voting whether to convict Trump or acquit.

Trump has parted ways with his attorneys. Meaning the fix is already arranged.

What that means for the Biden administration and American democracy is yet unknown.
Meanwhile, 50M supportive MAGA Americans are in a mass fugue state induced by extreme disinformation.

No longer tethered to reality, this group of citizens is completely engrossed in conspiracy theories and extremist religious fervour, blinding them to reality.

So...

I thought I would give this a few days for people to mull over the KXL fiasco.

But Kenney also made one hell of an admission in his news conference on Monday January 18, 2021.

He confirmed that Jason Luan was telling the truth in November 2020.
Luan stated emphatically that the province was waiting until the capacity of hospitals was almost at maximum before the province would impose any additional measures. Amid public outrage, he backtracked and withdrew his comments.

You know how UCP (just like Trump) has so many scandals that it’s difficult to remember them all and it’s tricky to figure out which one to focus on first?

Well, that’s typical for UCP news updates. You never know how many scandals and dirty deals will be exposed.

Ignorance is rife in Edmonton municipal politics.

Edmontonians cannot afford to re-elect climate deniers.

Conspiracy theorists need to be removed from public office.

Western Standard should be filtering these nuts out. Not giving them a platform to spread disinformation.
The dedication to presenting both sides is ridiculous and dangerous. There are NOT two sides to scientific proof. Climate change is real and so is Covid. Reality is not subjective.

There are no alternate realities. To suggest otherwise is diabolical.
People like Dziadyk are a menace to society.

The public needs to loudly reject this nonsense.

We are under siege by conspiracy theorists who seek to destroy democracy. Who is funding these people? If we can determine that, we should boycott them and let everyone know why.

Well, well, well.

Independent economic report commissioned by provincial BCNDP government recommending help for those in need, BUT NOT UBI.

Economists recommend raising rates for those in poverty. Reorganizing benefits available. But not UBI.
While the concept of UBI is attractive, the cost is prohibitive.

Unless the federal government renegotiates social program transfer payments and expectations, UBI is untenable.

With 7 conservative premiers at the helm, a UBI seems quite unlikely any time soon.
I believe I said that a few years ago. Could have saved BC millions in a 2 year analysis and report.

How anyone could expect a different outcome is baffling!?!

Provinces are responsible for social programs, not the federal government.

Please check this out.

Check the lame attempt to distance this behaviour from Conservatives & pin it on People’s Party. A fringe party. When CPC clearly contributed toxic rhetoric to the two assassination attempts on PMJT this past July 2020.

This article makes me feel very unsafe.

A sub machine gun. Not that I’m familiar with gun terminology, but yikes!

This arrest does demonstrate that the unhinged far right stochastic terrorist (or many of them) is a probability in Canada.

But how many of them are there?
The article doesn’t say. But “where we go one we go all” is the Q’Anon motto. And there are literally millions of Q’Anon in Canada.

Q’Anon is a internet based death cult, spreading globally like wildfire.

Many of the Capitol rioter insurgents have been confirmed as Q’Anon.
