A total of 44,037 sequences on GISAID assigned B.1.1.7, from 57 countries. 40,302 of these sequences are from the UK. Gambia is newly represented among countries previously represented by public B.1.1.7 sequences.
Today 32 countries have reported cases of lineage B.1.351 (Variant 501Y.V2). Newly reported cases of this lineage in Turkey: aa.com.tr/en/health/turk…, currently unclear whether these cases are associated with imports as no mention of travel history in the report.
