75 countries have reported cases of lineage B.1.1.7, 59 of which have reported sequences on GISAID. Newly added to the report today are the Cayman Islands (gisbarbados.gov.bb/blog/carpha-co…) and Barbados (caymannewsservice.com/2021/01/uk-cov…).
A total of 48,725 sequences on GISAID assigned B.1.1.7, from 59 countries. 44,101 of these sequences are from the UK.
Today 32 countries have reported cases of lineage B.1.351 (Variant 501Y.V2).
A total of 868 lineage B.1.351 sequences from 27 countries are represented on GISAID.
Up to 2021-02-05, 11 countries have reported cases of lineage P.1.
No increase in P.1 sequences today. There are 66 sequences on GISAID that have been assigned P.1 by pangolin, from 7 different countries: Brazil 51, Japan 4, USA 3, Italy 3, France 3, South_Korea 1, Faroe_Islands 1

As a side note, as there is continuing spread of these lineages of concern, we will continue to collect reports & the website and figures will still be updated daily. However, I plan to move to summarising the reports with twitter threads to a weekly rather than daily basis.
