This is criminal negligence. edmonton.ctvnews.ca/minor-sports-n… The new variants are quickly replacing the old variant which is waning.

Children are being used to spread the new variants. Physical activity produces more forceful exhalations and thus, more viral spread.
Kenney and UCP should be arrested, charged with criminal negligence, prosecuted and imprisoned.

But that won’t happen. Instead we will wait until criminal homicide can also be included.

This isn’t hyperbole. The new variants are that much worse.

I’m repulsed by this policy.

It is easy to compartmentalize each racialized issue and see them as separate.

Which is the only way one can say and believe “this isn’t Canada”(Alberta or Edmonton).

Because racism is all of the above. It’s systemic.

Which is what BIPOC have been saying for generations.
This is another one of those harsh realities mainstream Canadians prefer to rationalize away. You personally aren’t racist. You personally haven’t experienced racial hatred. So it’s difficult to empathize with those who have.

You are one grain of sand on the beach.
You’re open to new experiences and cultures. You may even have friends and relatives that are BIPOC. But you’re ignoring the dangerous and cutting shards of glass BIPOC must wade through to traverse the beach.

This is the action MLK jr. referred to as infuriating.

Do not read it if you are triggered by child sexual abuse. It’s repulsive.

My skin is still crawling.
But this is attached to the end of the thread.

This is the part that’s important to see.

While correlation is NOT indicative of cause, it exists, nonetheless.

Years of “pro-life” advocacy.
I am not implying that pro-life institutions breed sick and twisted child sexual abusers.

But the repressive attitudes of extremist evangelical Christianity do result in providing cover for people with horrific behaviours and values.

Why isn’t this getting more attention?

It’s not everyday that an epidemiologist with no skin in the Alberta game makes a point of commenting on impending third wave that will devastate the province.
It’s not everyday that the confirmation that Kenney and UCP are making decisions that will kill many many Albertans, needlessly.

Kenney should be charged with reckless endangerment at the very least, because this is a crime. He knows this, yet is relaxing covid rules anyway.
Same with Ford and Legault.

The new variants are game changers. More deadly and more contagious. Resistant to the vaccine.

But the economy...

This embedded thread MUST be read to understand how entirely fascist the January 6, 2021 attack of the Capitol really was.

Fascism is a provocative word. Many recoil at its use and prefer less evocative terms to describe Trump’s disaster of a presidency.
But we need to face the truth.

We need to admit to ourselves and each other what the last 4 years have been preparing the public for: Indoctrination to accept a fascist coup.

There is no other way to interpret the information presented in the embedded article.
It’s shocking. That Trump made the effort to create the film he showed at his January 6 rally immediately prior to the Capitol riot and insurrection reveals his intent.

One thing almost all agree, Trump knows how to manipulate through media. That film is no accident.
