there was a very long pause in this because apparently i got white-only light pucks mispackaged as color-shifting light pucks, which not only don't color-shift but also are incompatible with the color-shift remote that comes with

come home, drill holes, install light, re-check packaging six times, realize wrong light somehow, curse, put back in torn-up packaging, place back in bag
