PALEOLIBERTARIANISM.

This article doesn’t analyze why the province wants to move to a provincial police force. While it reviews costs, it doesn’t delve into the “benefits” from the perspective of UCP. Why might UCP want it’s own police force?

stalberttoday.ca/local-news/may…
To understand the decision making premise of UCP, first you need to understand their ideology.

Paleolibertarianism is the prevailing ideological base from which UCP operates.

While they call themselves conservative, paleolibertarians are not. They’re in a league of their own.
Roughly fashioned after Reconstruction Era 19th century Gilded Age Robber Barons and Redeemers, paleolibertarians represent “Old Conservatism,” institutional authoritarian governance through social pressure, and unregulated property rights and deregulated free market economies.
So, basically 19th century American inspired “Deep South” fascism.

That’s where paleolibertarianism emerged from. Those roots. As evidenced by this Rothbard vision from 1990.

The ideals haven’t changed.

UCP is inherently bigoted & fascist.

uploads-ssl.webflow.com/5d62a0b2e3123d…
This is the same ideology that resonated with AB Social Credit, & the Reform Party of the 1980’s and the Canadian Alliance Party of the 1990’s.

Harper, Manning, Kenney and Day were instrumental in bringing these ideals to Canadian politics and saturating Canada with propaganda.
These four men are Dominionist Christians and deeply connected to the Dominionist movement.

If you read the above screen shots of the attached article about paleolibertarian beliefs, you’ll recognize the beliefs and values and some of the preferred policies it promotes.
1. Small regional government (prov/state) as opposed to the leviathan state.
2. Deregulated free market tied to morality.
3. Primacy of private property rights.
4. US second amendment fears and promotion of private militias.
5. Taxation is theft. Welfare state is morally corrupt.
6. Egalitarianism promotes moral debauchery, destroys private property rights and eliminates social authority.
7. Property owners rights are supreme. Only they make policy.
8. Promotion of family, church & segregation as symbolic with “freedom” and “voluntary association.”
9. Western civilization as founded by North American imperialists is worthy of preservation.
10. Christian morals and values are the only values and beliefs characteristic of a civilized and free society.

That’s exactly what UCP MLAs and supporters believe.
So with this lens in mind, view the decisions made by UCP. Specifically the promotion of an independent Alberta police force.

On the surface it doesn’t make sense.
Where is progressive ideology most found? In municipal politics and the services and programs offered. That’s where the most impact on people’s lives is made. At the local level. Public transportation fares, policing budgets, emergency response, property tax, social programs.
That’s where the UCP does not have control. But with a provincial police force, municipalities would be forced to provide more funding and have far less say in services rendered. Leaving little for emergency services like fire response and crisis management.
Completely negating any BLM inspired “defund the police” policies. Removing the possibility for secular social programming. Faith institutions would be required to take over that responsibility. And higher cost of living for average citizens, like transportation and snow removal.
Which is exactly what we saw in Calgary municipal budget last year. Cuts to emergency services and social programs to maintain police budget. Huge pushback from property owners to pay for required budget increases.

We saw the equivalent in smaller municipal budgets.
Provincial subsidization of large corporations’ tax burdens and some municipalities were forced to waive taxes altogether. Leaving nothing in the bank for local services and programs.

That’s the UCP and that’s what they are doing.
The UCP is not incompetent. Far from it. Alberta has been undergoing extreme changes to reflect the ideology of paleolibertarians who elected UCP. Ontario is the same with Ford. Moe (SK), Pallister (MB), Legault (QC), & now Higgs (NB), & Horgan (BC) with majorities will follow.
UCP is paleolibertarian and serves those who have also adopted this ideology. Major multinational corporations, much of the wealth class, Evangelical Christian Nationalists and white supremacists.
When you know what UCP are doing, it becomes a lot easier to recognize how their policies are meant to cement the political power of the groups they serve (and have membership within) and the social authority over the rest of Alberta’s population by Dominionist Christians.
Also included in this ideological agenda are O’Toole’s Canadian Conservative Party.

While the People’s Party of Canada (Maxime Bernier) is far right libertarian, he does not represent social conservatism. Legault is somewhere between PPC and CPC in beliefs and values.
Legault’s libertarianism is more a reflection of France’s idea of liberty. However, he’s done nothing to discourage Q’Anon or the Dominionists operating in Quebec.

If you examine the policies of each premier, they are consistent with the paleolibertarian agenda.
How connected Canadian cons are to the American GOP Republicans is not entirely clear, but it’s the same policy framework model Trump was installing as president. With the majority of Republicans supporting Trump. Many of them Christian Nationalists: Cruz, McConnell, Hawley, etc.
Canada has been invaded by paleolibertarians who are masquerading as conservatives.

Their agenda is clear. Turn Canada into the chaotic anarcho-capitalist, Christian Nationalist, poverty stricken populace, just like the US. Then rob us blind.
The paleolibertarian cons are succeeding. Because people refuse to recognize who they are & what they represent: Fascism & Corporatism.

That’s where we are headed in Alberta & Canada as a whole.

It’s why CPC & NDP keep trying to make scandals stick & trigger an election.
The far left are implicated and complicit also. Singh’s federal NDP brand of socialism is left libertarianism. A slightly less sadistic version of paleolibertarianism. But no less socially, economically & politically destructive & demoralizing.

But that’s for another thread...

I know this thread is full of technical information.

But I’m encouraging everyone to read it.

Basically several nations have delved into Google’s business model and found it’s a monopoly along with Facebook.
This is what the anti-trust laws of the early 20th century were meant to prevent.

The result was to divide Standard Oil (John A. Rockefeller’s oil monopoly) into several smaller companies. That solution didn’t really fix the problem though.
Years later, US anti-trust laws are being lobbied heavily to be repealed and to allow unregulated monopolies.

As evidenced by this one article of many more just like it. cei.org/issue_analysis…

Looky look!

Pastor has been charged at Grace Life Church.

It’s taken long enough.

Now watch the claims of religious persecution abound.

Just like @C_Stroop opined. Evangelical Christians get to feel superior when they claim persecution.
I would not be surprised if this was their political goal all along.

That way the media amplifies their conspiracy theory rationale, providing some level of credibility and validation.

Media needs to be careful how this is presented.
Radicalized Evangelical Christians are putting the rest of the community in danger by refusing to abide by covid measures. Contempt for others’ health while spreading a deadly disease is not a religious right.

That needs to be made clear in media reports.

In case anyone is wondering, @C_Stroop addresses why churches refuse to follow covid measures.

Because Grace church exceeded the limit again today. Are there any repercussions?

cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…
In case there is any doubt. The church pastor know exactly what order he continues to flout.

albertahealthservices.ca/assets/wf/eph/…

Just like Hawaii vacations. Apparently some people have more rights than others?
Maybe if the government pulls their licence to operate until covid is over or their parishioners are vaccinated?

I’m sure getting tired of covid doubters making life difficult for the rest of us & receiving polite letters and minimal fines for putting the public’s life at risk!

It is easy to compartmentalize each racialized issue and see them as separate.

Which is the only way one can say and believe “this isn’t Canada”(Alberta or Edmonton).

Because racism is all of the above. It’s systemic.

Which is what BIPOC have been saying for generations.
This is another one of those harsh realities mainstream Canadians prefer to rationalize away. You personally aren’t racist. You personally haven’t experienced racial hatred. So it’s difficult to empathize with those who have.

You are one grain of sand on the beach.
You’re open to new experiences and cultures. You may even have friends and relatives that are BIPOC. But you’re ignoring the dangerous and cutting shards of glass BIPOC must wade through to traverse the beach.

This is the action MLK jr. referred to as infuriating.

Here’s some transparency.

Former “Liberal” MP whose motto is transparency is currently criticizing PMJT and vaccination procurement.

Is she really a Liberal?
Look where she amplified her past concerns for transparency.

With Roy Green.

That’s not odd at all. Is it?

National politics tends to bring out the nasty in people. Power is an addictive drug.

To ensure power is gained or maintained by a minority interest group, several political tactics are used to “gaslight” or confuse the electorate.

This is demagogic populism.

This thread comes with an extreme warning💥💥💥💥🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

Do not read it if you are triggered by child sexual abuse. It’s repulsive.

My skin is still crawling.
But this is attached to the end of the thread.

This is the part that’s important to see.

While correlation is NOT indicative of cause, it exists, nonetheless.

Years of “pro-life” advocacy.
I am not implying that pro-life institutions breed sick and twisted child sexual abusers.

But the repressive attitudes of extremist evangelical Christianity do result in providing cover for people with horrific behaviours and values.
