@YaelEisenstat Well, I ended a 4 month relationship with a frightening person who decided he would spend the rest of his life destroying mine. This included non-stop texts and emails and fb messages threatening me, my family, my friends, co-workers, parents, parents’ friends.

@YaelEisenstat He’d tell people I was a drug addict, anorexic, pregnant, involved in scandals with judges, a whore, sleeping with cops. He’d email me my own naked pics and vids and tell me I didn’t even want to know who he’d bcc’ed. False claims to the irs against my family members,

@YaelEisenstat Would show up at my apartment, said he’d hacked into my work computer and gmail, tried to get my super to let him into my apartment. Then came the legal stuff —when I got a restraining order, he cross petitioned. He’d sue me in small claims, civil court for bizarre things

@YaelEisenstat He said he’d hired people with hub to track me down and rape me, Finally I got a call he’d been arrested and they needed me to go to central booking to iD him. So I went. And I was arrested. More false charges and I was interrogated for hours b/c he’d claimed

@YaelEisenstat I was running some sort of sex-for-favors enterprise out of the court. I broke it to the intelligence officers that I work at a nonprofit doing guardianship law for elderly people and all my judges are nice old ladies and the outcomes I seek from them are things like

@YaelEisenstat Increases in homecare or permission to create a Medicaid trust. Nevertheless they arrested me based on “proof” and said it was mandatory arrest b/c he and I had been in an intimate relationship. It took six months and about 45% of my annual salary to get it all dropped.

@YaelEisenstat I was at my lowest depths and just terrified he was gonna kill me. I had to move, my family hated me, I was worried about getting fired b/c of the criminal stuff since it had to be disclosed to the guardianship judges. Everything suuuuuucked. I wanted to die.

@YaelEisenstat And somehow in an act of insanity and courage, I decided to start a goddamn law firm two months later with zero experience or connections or knowledge besides the hell I experienced

@YaelEisenstat I got the photo when I was at central booking. It was odd. A female cop who was processing me asked if I wanted my mug shot (I’d had it taken earlier in the day at the precinct where arrested) and she took the pic out of her breast pocket and gave it to me and I put it in my bra.
