Democrats: why actually try when we can preemptively concede?
If Republicans had witness testimony from 100 people saying a democratic president incited a murder you would get 100 hours each of testimony from all 100 people. And we all know it, whether the verdict was a lock or not.
The inability of Democratic *voters* to understand the value of sending a message is so bizarre. It's the same way so many said the House shouldn't pass popular things to make the GOP vote against them, "because it won't actually become law."
NOT THE POINT!!!!
A lot of politics is making it clear to people who don't follow the minutiae of politics where you and your opponent stand. That means often voting on doomed things. Then you can say "they voted against health care," or "they voted against conviction despite all that testimony."

the failure of the 45 and 43 presidencies means republicans still have to default to reagan when citing a gop presidency that didn't go down in flames.
even the impeached democratic president left office more popular than the two recent gop presidents.
also, and ive referenced this before, but liberal twitter has this annoying habit of not understanding that their personal pov is not always the national pov. the overall national impression of reagan is pretty positive. you don't like to think so. but it is.
why did @googlechrome change how keyword shortcuts work! usually i just type in the keyword, tab, then my search. now ive got to click a thing. dont change things like this!!!
this is a repeat of the "close other tabs" debacle. im getting old and i dont like change. stop it.
im sure few people use these features, so why muck with them? sheesh. leave us be.
if i were given the power to reboot the dceu i think i would do something out of left field like a captain atom movie. put the big 3 on the shelf for a minute and follow the iron man template of giving a b/c-lister a strong movie that sets up everything.
also besides a title sequence we dont ever need another movie with the origin of superman or batman. everyone gets it, everyone knows. (ditto spider-man/hulk)
every director: "but *i* want to show martha waynes' pearls slowly falling to the ground in crime alley!!!!"
me, knowing there's no "cut" that will save justice league from being bad, and thinking about how i wanted a justice league movie since i was a little kid
still dunno how they made a justice league movie where the big bad is frigging steppenwolf and not darkseid
thinking about how much time they wasted in this movie with superman being dead and weird when its the mothereffing justice league movie
the last 4 years show that the system really doesn't work. if the voters had not been terrified into action, everything would be lost. the norms and rules did bupkiss, from ethics to a lot of election law. and journalism was an absolute disaster.
it says to me that there is a fundamental weakness in that the strongest democratic electoral performances have had to follow absolutely disastrous gop governance - 2006, 2008, 2018, 2020. in "normal" circumstances the dems suck at pulling a win (02, 04, 16)
it is now proven in america that turning the presidency into a massive personal profit center is easy and theres zero penalty for it.
