I was putting off tweeting about these men, since I knew the mood would only go downhill hereafter.
But then, it is definitely a day to remember the #14FebPulwamaBravehearts.
Let me share my jumbled, angry thoughts about that dastardly attack ..
I still remember that evening as the news of the attack came in and the casualty count just kept on going higher and higher. I was having dinner at my boss' place that evening. It was supposed to be a light evening, but it was anything but that.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
I doubt anyone of us was actually 'attending' that party that evening. Despite being physical present there, we were lost in our own worlds of emotions as the gravity of the event sunk in.
There wasn't much conversation that night, despite quite a few 'talkative' guys amongst us.
All that we could think of was for the damned evening to end.
Thankfully, the boss too agreed with us and we went homewards much earlier than planned.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
I rushed back home and let out on twitter in this thread. Info was still very sketchy, but still, the event had shaken me to the very core.
Practically EVERYONE of us knew who did it.
MUST read this thread before moving ahead.

One hardly slept that night.
Dare I say, I wouldn't have been the only one.
It was time for yet another thread. It came in this form below.
Do read it as well, it's a humble request 🙏

As far as accountability for the terror attack goes, this minister from the Govt of Terroristan himself PROUDLY proclaimed IN THEIR PARLIAMENT that it was they who had done it. Of course, there was a thumping applause at this 'Kamyaabi'.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Of course, do concentrate at the end of the video above.
That minister from Terroristan makes it known that that successful terror attack is a 'Kamyaabi' of the entire Paaki 'Qaum'.
Do watch that video in case you missed this part
This was how I ended that thread that night.
Feel free to judge me

Here's that thread in a blog, for ease of reading in case interested.
(Other blog posts in the aftermath, including Balakot Attack and the days that followed, are there as well, behind this tweet quoted below)
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Then there were the usual vultures within our own borders, who were rubbing their hands with glee at the embarrassment to the DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED govt of India, on account of the loss of soldiers, who ironically, were THEIR OWN as well.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Then there were our own Presstitutes who tried their darnedest best to paint it as anything but a Pakistan sponsored attack.
Of course, they misjudged the public anger and had to retreat quickly.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Talking about Presstitutes, I'll leave this tweet here as well.
A dastardly terror attack was a 'God Sent' opportunity for making political points, even before the blood of THEIR OWN soldiers had dried from the spot of the attack.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
While on the topic of Presstitutes, I am not quite sure whether this one was reinstated by #NDTV after her gleeful statements at the failure of the Govt in preventing the Pulwama Attack.
Any update on that would be welcome 🙏
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Here's the lady in question.
I would REALLY like to know whether she continued working for NDTV after those two weeks of suspension.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Twitter timelines were just too gloomy in the aftermath of the attack. They stayed thus for quite a few days in fact
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
In my case as well, the #LightHeartedTweets thread could only continue after the Indian Air Force visited Balakot on 26th Feb 2019.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Going back a bit, regarding that NDTV Deputy Editor, who I am told got reinstated right after the 14 day suspension, THIS is her 'apology'. Her words were 'misconstrued', she said.
I'll just leave the original post and the apology here for you.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
And with that 'sincere' apology as a 'responsible member of the media fraternity', she was back working for #NDTV!
What surprises me, though, is that she hasn't yet been given a well-deserved promotion
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Anyhow, one silver lining behind that attack was the fact that the Indian Air Force crossed the IB in anger for the first time after the 1971 war.
#14FebPulwamaBravehearts
Time to cap this thread.
I'll just leave this tweet from a day after the attack here
Om Shanti ..
🙏

Folks, sharing some thoughts on the farmers' protest, twitter, Koo etc. Let's see how it goes!
Let me begin by talking about the wave of euphoria that the global 'liberal' ecosystem has been riding ever since the defeat of Donald Trump in the just concluded US Presidential elections.
I'm not going to comment upon the controversies surrounding the conduct of the election because frankly, it doesn't matter anymore .. atleast not for the time being.
However, fact remains that social as well as mainstream media played a BIG role during that election.

Ok folks, so I came across this report a few weeks ago.
This report talks about reorienting bulk of 1 Corps of the Indian Army towards the China border in Ladakh.
Sharing some thoughts on the issue.
Here goes ..
theprint.in/defence/army-p…
In essence, what this means is that atleast two divisions of the Indian Army will reorient, and possibly physically locate, to Ladakh, along with the Headquarters of the 1 Corps.
Frankly, this is a much needed exercise in order to plug own vulnerabilities in that region.
However, this movement / reorientation of two infantry divisions towards the LAC also means that there are going to be two divisions less in case of a contingency demanding their application on the Pakistan border.
This is what I intend to talk about here in this thread.

So there a recent report from Pakistan - one about Shri Shoaib Akhtar talking about his wet dreams of Ghazwa 'e Hind and capturing Kashmir, and then the rest of India. Here is the video, for those who have missed this story
In light of that, replugging a thread I did three years ago, analyzing the treatment meted out to Cdr Kulbhushan Jadhav's mother & wife when they had gone to meet him in Pakistan.
Its been three years plus since the incident.
Cdr Jadhav continues to be in Pakistani custody.
Here it goes ..
Sharing some thoughts on the treatment meted out to Cdr Kulbhushan Jadhav's wife and mother by Pakis, in what could easily have been a show of goodwill instead.
Still unstructured, let me see how this thread goes ..

In memory of the Four Sahebzaadas of Guru Gobind Singh, all of whom sacrificed their lives for the sake of their Dharam, this week in 1704.

You folks hear the story of the first Gorkha to surrender to the Brits in the Anglo Gorkha War of 1815?
Well, here it is!
2
It was the first time organised British troops had faced the Gorkhas in battle & were indeed very intrigued by these spunky little warriors.
However, even as the campaign dragged on, they failed to get a prisoner of war.
3
Finally, one fine day the Brits saw a Gorkha soldier walk into their lines. He had been wounded during the battle. Ecstatic at the unexpected surrender, their first priority was to treat this man's wounds.

Carrying on from this thread tweeted two days ago, here is another thread. Originally written in 2017 during the India-China Faceoff, this one covers the delicate 'Tango' that defines Bhutan's relationship with both its neighbours.
Here goes ..
Although India’s influence over Bhutan is acknowledged by China, New Delhi is keen to keep an eye on the Sino-Bhutanese negotiations, which would definitively have repercussions on India’s own engagement with China.
History as well as geography have given India a huge advantage in Bhutan. In addition, India’s own rise has reduced the relative disparity in military and diplomatic power with China.
