And here at ACLU-MA, we know that justice is a labor of love. Here are some of our favorite moments of love and justice in the last year, to brighten your #ValentinesDay.

Almost exactly a year ago, our clients Hanz and Maudy were reunited after being separated by the cruel "Return to Mexico" policy.
In the initial outbreak of the #COVID pandemic, uncertainty was high but love was abundant. We came together to protect one another.
In the Spring of 2020, we secured a preliminary injunction in our second case challenging the Return to Mexico policy. That meant we were able to reunite three more loving families.
During the fight for police accountability and racial justice, pastors from twelve African Methodist Episcopal churches came together to demand justice with love and faith.
And.. while we don't necessarily *love* suing the police all the time, we do π care deeply π about transparency and accountability. So we sued the BPD... again:
Voting is undoubtedly an act of love for democracy. We helped expand access to the ballot box, and when it became necessary, we demanded that EVERY πVOTE πCOUNT π
And of course - we adore seeing systemic change come to fruition. We took steps forward on police accountability legislation, and passed bold abortion access reform.
