Imagine calling something "Abundance 360", and it then being a COVID-19 super spreader event... Silicon Valley continues to be a parody of itself. sfgate.com/coronavirus/ar…
"I flew to Culver City in a global Panera, paid $30k, and all I got was a life threatening virus" 😳
Y'all the irony of it being called "ABUNDANCE 360".
I have committed to a birthday for an infinite amount of years- it's sort of an important hallmark of an event. We're in year 31, and it's always been an in person event.
Just some quick math here- average of 30 attendees × 30k to attend... 💸💰🤑
...and you're donating 100k to a COVID-19 fund? 🤔🤨🦠🧐🧮
K.
To be fair, this seems to be a very LA "silicon valley" situation. Regardless, yikes. 🔥🚮🗑️
Fyre Fest, but make it tech and COVID-19 themed. 🔥🗑️🚮🦠 #abundance#synergy
This event focused on conversations around longevity & health. How y'all gonna do that if you're dealing w/ the long-term symptoms of COVID-19 you gifted your speakers + attendees @PeterDiamandis? A blog post + 100k to a front line worker org isn't gonna cut it. Do more + better.
Create the facts yourself... like a "COVID Immunity Bubble"?
This man has degrees from @MIT + @harvardmed 😳😐😑 Don't listen to every "silicon valley" guru you meet.

As someone with an age 75+ parent and a grandparent who doesn't quiet understand the internet, I'm sure I can't be the only one concerned about how difficult it is for many folks (who need the vaccine most) to get information on the vaccine. 😔
Spent my morning looking into this for my dad (woke up in a panic realizing this is something he doesn't know how to do, let alone do a Google search for). Got me started thinking about other folks like him who don't have family/folks looking out for them 😕
Early in shelter in place, we received a postcard from The White House that had "COVID Guidelines". I feel like we need to be thinking about the demographics of folks who don't have email/internet/etc.
How do we make sure the people who need this info most get it? 😓
Early in my career, I was given the feedback "just be careful there aren't too many women at your meetup- we don't want it to be too homogeneous", and I think about the absurdity of that statement every fucking day.
Soon after, they had the audacity to ask me for a "positive referral" for their next position.
Being a woman in tech is exhausting.
Best part? The data said otherwise.
There were way more men than women attending these events- there were just more women than usual... ya know, the whole thing companies have been trying to solve for YEARS, I had accomplished on my own, and was scolded for. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll have other ways to contact me- don't worry. But I just can't continue to keep this channel of communication open while @TwitterSafety does nothing to protect me/my sanity 🙃🗑️🚮🔥 Fleets have made it even worse.
