If you grew up poor, you may have a tendency to venerate money (to the point of idolizing it) when you start making it in life.
This will cause you to value money above every other thing - your health, wellbeing, relationships, the simple pleasures of life, etc. #money

You may also have the tendency to be stingy and tight-fisted with your money , even to yourself and your immediate family, because of the fear of losing it all and returning to poverty. You may call it frugality, but it is actually the fear of returning to nothing. #money

The problem with living like this is that it will make it impossible for you to fulfill the purpose of having money, which is to honour God, to serve humanity and to live a full and satisfied life. #money
/3
If this applies to you, you need to allow the Word of God to sanitize your disposition towards money. Some points to bear in mind:
1. Money is important, but it is just a tool - a means to an end and NOT the end in itself. #money
4/
2. Money will always be a direct competitor with God in your life (Matthew 6:24), and woe betide that man who becomes a slave to money - Money is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. #money
/5
3. Money alone is NOT enough (Ecclesiastes 7:11-12) - wisdom, good health, valuable relationships, etc. are a more valuable currency in life than money. #money
/6
4. You did NOT make yourself rich (Deuteronomy 8:12-17) - there are millions of people who work harder than you, hustle far more than you and still live in abject penury. Time and chance happen to us all (Ecclesiastes 9:11). Be humble! #money
/7
5. God gives money for a purpose (Deuteronomy 8:18) - your greatest fulfillment in life will come from finding that purpose and fulfilling it. #money
/8
6. Whatever amount of money you have will never be enough. It is good to seek to be wealthy, but beware of the spirit of greed (1 Timothy 6:6-12). #money
/9
7. Having God as your possession matters more than anything else (Luke 12:15). If you have God and God alone, you have all things in Him, yet you are made free from the tyranny of things - you possess things, things don't possess you. #money

Finally...
Hebrews 13:5 (AMP) Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]... #money /11
...for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]
Selah! #money
