1/@IrfanDhalla appears to have a couple of decades in health sciences education, but seemingly cannot interpret basic data, such as identifying where the C19 crisis is occurring and where it isn't. (Ottawa Health):
2/Reinforced by this age-stratification chart (Health Canada)
3/And this all-cause death data (Statistics Canada)
All-Cause deaths ON Jan-Aug 2019: 71035
All-Cause deaths ON Jan-Aug 2020: 70685
www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/en/tv.…
4/How about all-cause hospital Occupancy? (ON ministry of health).
5/I have zero health sciences education. If presented with this data, it is immediately clear that this has been an LTC crisis, that the virus primarily attacks the elderly/comorbid, all-cause deaths are relatively normal in ON, as is all-cause winter hospital occupancy.
6/Focused protection for LTC is required. Everything else should be wide open.
If @IrfanDhalla has been in health sciences for 20+ yrs and has not reached similar conclusions he is
1) Incompetent
2) Politically motivated or;
3) Thoroughly corrupt and for sale.

Now that schools are open, it's time to start talking about ending mandatory mask mandates, particularly in schools.
@Roman_Baber @mamasaurusMeg @KristenMeghan @ColleenHuberNMD Image
2/In March, C19 talking heads like Fauci, Tam, etc publicly (and correctly) stated that NM masks were ineffective at preventing the spread of ILIs outside of controlled settings, and could make matters worse with contamination/poor hygiene habits.
3/Later, mandates were successfully pushed by well-connected lobbyists associated with the ZeroCovid movement who were given an unopposed platform in the MSM. An end to lockdowns and massive case reductions were promised "if only 80% of people wore a mask"

1/So can we officially call ZeroCovid a religion (or cult if you prefer)? The order of the Zero Covidians?
"Zero Covid isn't a promise but a destination" Praise Fauci. Awoman.
2/Every kool-aid saturated country seems to have one of these groups now, with ties to the usual suspects, using the same talking points. The goal is not to eliminate C19 (this is impossible), but to destroy remaining businesses non-compliant with the "build back better" economy Image
3/More importantly, this is the final push to demoralize the population into accepting (permanently) whatever conditions are imposed to get back some semblance of what was considered "normal life". This is really that last chance to say no.

Why does Ontario have (by far) the strictest masking policy for school children in Canada? The majority of provinces allow masks to be removed while seated at desks, and while outside.
@Roman_Baber @anthonyfurey
2/Imagine a 6 year old having to put on a mask when they get on the bus in the morning and not be able to take it off until they get off the bus in the evening (except for a few minutes while eating). How clean will that mask be at the end of the day?
3/Even if you are pro-masking kids (!), having them wear masks outside in the winter makes the mask extremely damp, thereby removing all effectiveness as source control and exposing the child to bacterial load. All-day masking risks have not been evaluated

All of this could be accomplished by lowering the PCR test CT to 25 and only testing symptomatic individuals.
