Line to Enoggera open 1899, Gaythorne 1916, Mitchelton 1918, Samford 1918, Samsonvale 1919, Kobble 1919, Dayboro 1920. Closed beyond Ferny Grove in 1955.

On the 5 May 1947 a packed excursion train derailed at Camp Mountain. Queensland's worst rail disaster, 16 people died, including the driver and fireman, and 38 people were injured.

Passenger services ceased 1961, freight 1996.
Beaudesert Shire Tramway connected at Beaudesert between 1903 and 1944.

Timber was the mainstay on the line. WW2 Pacific War - Jungle Warfare training centre at Canungra est. 1942 > substantial rail traffic during the war.

The line to Yarraman now forms the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. One of the best in our nation. I was fortunate to travel to Yarraman by rail on the second last train.
It was a marvellous example of a Queensland branch line.
