In stories circulating about @CASenCaballero being considered for Attorney General by @GavinNewsom her "liabilities" are discussed.

In every story I've read her reign as Executive Director for Partnersa4Peace is left out of the narrative completely. Why?

Because it's corrupt.
2/

Caballero was a crappy attorney. She wasn't making money and political people above her pay grade were grooming her. Powerful people like @JerryBrownGov - who has always has a crooked side w/ big connections to MoCo - think Leon Panetta.

So what did these powerful people do?
3/

The created a job for Caballero using a non-profit set up as the Violence Injury Prevention Coalition "framework"

Get this - the @CityofSalinas solicited a study and paid nearly $100,000 for it from?

The Prevention Institute in Oakland CA (@DarwinBondGraha @OakMorr)
4/

Isn't this how it was done in @AoDespair's "The Wire"?

Baltimore has got nothing on Monterey County California.
5/

Anna Caballero was a newly elected Mayor of Salinas.

The City paid for a study that was then used to take a Pastor Ken Feske's idea (because Feske was making money on this too) and they turned it into a job for now Senator Caballero.

Panetta Institute kicks off with Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Guess what? It's too expensive for anyone in the community to go.

Imagine that. From the Panettas.

* The Panetta Institute had its genesis by converting donor funds of outgoing congressman to "Institutes" a rule they wrote. ImageImage
2/

Another job for Leon Panetta.

Then CEO 4 Oracle created another one. 81 year old Leon brings in about 450,000 per year AND has accumulated $3-4 million in Oracle stock.

Leon Panetta worked for the government his entire life. He is worth in excess of $10,000,000.
3/

The Institute charges a hefty hefty price tag to hear these big name guests like Dr. Fauci.

I wonder if @bradleyzeve paid for @pammarino's ticket or was it @RepJimmyPanetta gratis?

What would that mean? Bradley Zeve runs the @mcweekly for a profit. If the weekly isn't

This is former Monterey County sheriff Mike Kanalakis in a deposition when the topic of whether or not cops should hang out with convicted felons. Image
2/

Years earlier this was NEWLY ELECTED sheriff Mike Kanalakis giving permission to then @MCoSheriff Sgt. Mike Richards who was asking permission to hang out with David Drew, a truck broker and mutli-felon. Image

This was a @SalinasPD copper who knew enough to document what he heard while interviewing someone on an unrelated call unrelated to what the copper documented. Mike Richards used people as informants that is go from the County Jail to fire other officers.

For those of you journalists outside of Monterey County that continue to appreciate public records - even hard to get public records. This record will be published soon and it involves none other that Dave Drew!

What Dave doesn't seem to grasp is, this issue is bigger than him. Image
2/

Once Dave endeavored to become a larger than life local public figure, with many public officials shockingly siding with his journey toward public rehabilitation and eventually a @JerryBrownGov - and let's face it Brown only pardoned Drew because it mattered to certain

Vanessa Vallarta is an attorney who had worked for land use lawyer Tony Lombardo. She also worked with @CASenCaballero & Sue Matcham at @CRLAinc.

Just like another strange politico @billmonning.

Vallarta somehow became city attorney for Salinas. Fat toes in back rows and all.
2/

.@JerryBrownGov appointed Vallarta judge in 2013.

Based on what? Who knows.

Here is Vallarta refusing to release public records related to a fraudster "hotel owner" named Gerry Kehoe.

Kehoe cost the public millions of dollars and in the continuing saga of Oldtown ImageImage

Salinas - unchecked corruption. Corruption that @CityofSalinas directly participated in.

Direct participants in Kehoe's fraud, to the detriment of the public (us), was in fact then Salinas Mayor Anna Caballero.

Caballero has always been an eager facilitator.

* Pat Brown owned a taste of Cannery Row. Dirty deal

“In the early to mid-’70s, [real estate developer] Ben Swig, Chief Justice Earl Warren, and former California Governor Pat Brown, among others, owned Cannery Row and at that time they wanted to get rid of it,” Balestreri says.
2/

When we learned in 2018 that @JerryBrownGov signed a pardon for a criminal trump supporter of course it was suspect.

It makes sense when people are made aware of the former governor's dad's relationship with Cannery Row.

Scumbag to scumbag. It's an organized crime thing.
3/

Who did the two sleazy fuckers on the Row go into business with?

"Soon the main partners, Ted J. Balestreri, Bert P. Cutino, Harry Davidian and George Zarounian, started buying up properties; today Cannery Row Company owns approximately 88 percent of the area."

.@SalinasPD has not contributed police work one to the murder of Brian Montez.

Let's put together the publicly available information.

1. Montez went to Salinas High.

2. Montez had picked up a job at Bud Antle after high school.

3. Montez started a trucking transportation biz.
2/

4. Montez is popped by cops down by the border and they swear him to wear a wire.

5. Salinas Police were made aware in the spirit of cooperation.

6. The cocaine traffickers *somehow* found out that Montez was cooperating and it involved major figures in MoCo dope.
3/

7. Montez was summoned to meet up with a friend. His new pickup truck was found at the shopping center at Bolsa Knolls - unincorporated Salinas.

8. Montez was never seen again. The Sheriff's department and Salinas PD never moved the case forward.

9. Norm Hicks was sheriff.
