The WHY as always matters

This is deliberate

It is confected

It is concerted

It is the UK's fault that coronavirus hit us so hard

Not politicians

IT IS YOUR FAULT

Why is the Daily Mail so afraid
The headline

"Britain's status as the 'sick man of Europe'"

We aren't

Malta Has The Highest Levels Of Obesity In Europe

"With an obesity rate of 28.90%, it is the most obese nation in Europe, even though these numbers aren't high by world standards"

A reminder

I say let people eat what they like," he said. "Why shouldn't they push pies through the railings?"

Oh a reminder

The UK in obesity world rankings

Position number 29

From May 2020

A reminder going back to those world rankings on obesity

New Zealand is position 18

Here's Jacinda

Here's a reminder on Boris

Boris Johnson
17/4/2020

"I’ve been comparing notes & talking to leaders around the 🌍, & I can tell you that 🇬🇧 is leading a growing global campaign amongst friends & allies"
Here we are

It's February 2021

And the UK

Has over 120,000 dead

I would ask to see Boris' notes

To see whom he learned from and what he learned
A reminder also

Poverty affects obesity

theguardian.com/business/2020/….
Here's Liz Truss outlining the legacy of Tory rule with an introduction from Margaret

There's a reason why Jacob Rees Mogg and others are so desperate to claim food price savings from brexit

Maybe in 50 years they will arrive with the sunlit uplands

But anyway going back to the Daily Mail article

This is designed to add to the narrative

That the UK is somehow worse off from covid due to YOU

Due to you being OLD

Due to you being FAT

And as with all lies

It is hidden in a truth at its kernel
It's why in the last line of the article the Daily Mail slightly clarifies its use of statistics
Age , obesity and other conditions do contribute towards the severity with which one is afflicted with covid

Why even Boris is concerned about his weight

So

The Daily Mail is laying the narrative for us to take on the responsibility for 120,000 dead ourselves

To muddy the water

This is all about Boris' Great Recovery

The path to the 2024 general election

Self, career and power
With the Daily Mail and others pushing it

That narrative will work *enough* to muddy the waters

I once transcribed Boris Johnson and "bung a bob for a big ben bong"

I thought that was a low point

I was wrong

Today it was @MattHancock with @piersmorgan and @susannareid100

Here's a reminder of Boris

Before we start on Matt

Roll on to June 2020 Image
And roll on to July 2020 and a "massive success"

"The world’s largest daffodil grower, which is based in Cornwall, is having to let hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of flowers rot following Brexit.

Varfell Farms, at Long Rock, Penzance, produces 500 million stems a year and needs 700 workers to pick them."
“We can’t harvest them, we don’t have enough pickers to pick them. We’re losing hundreds of thousands of pounds,” he said.

Hopes that Cornish workers could step into the shoes of those who are now unable to travel from the European Union have been dashed.

#StandingOnTheShouldersOfGiants

A small thread

On giants

So so many giants

God bless open global Britain and all who sail on her as she buccaneers her way on the seas raising her eyes to the horizon

The biggest giant - Boris

I am going to write a thread now

Where I agree with the @ScotTories

"The domain name ‘postalvote.scot’ redirecting to the SNP’s own website has been criticised by the Scottish Conservatives as an attempt to “dupe voters”"

scotsman.com/news/politics/…
Now

First of all

Let's be clear on what the SNP did

They registered a domain

postalvote.scot

To provide a route into people to register for a postal vote

No data is retained by the SNP
