There's so many episodes of Seinfeld that wouldn't work today because of the technological changes. Standing in line to buy a movie theater ticket only to find out the movie is sold out? Renting a movie at a store? Can just stream it now.
yes, we really used to go to a store to rent movies.

Ostensibly the House and Senate are intended to be equal partners in legislating but in recent years the Senate has started to legislate less. Even when the same party controls both chambers, the Senate takes up just a fraction of legislation the House does.
This isn't just McConnell's fault. Reid didn't want to make his vulnerable Senators up in 2014 take needlessly controversial votes.
Some of them like Landrieu and Pryor were doomed no matter what votes they took. A bad candidate in Iowa cost Dems a seat and a retirement in WV made that a certain flip.
The problem for Mississippi Democrats is that Jim Hood probably got 20% white vote in 2019 but that came at a cost. He couldn't generate the necessary enthusiasm among Black voters.
Ohio State Rep. Michael O'Brien has faced the same opponent three elections in a row in this Obama/Trump district in eastern Ohio. His crossover support cratered in 2020.
Trump won this district 52-44% in 2016 and 56-43% in 2020.
The Senate district that this district comprises 1/3 of flipped last year. Senator Sean O'Brien was defeated by Sandy O'Brien. None of these people are related though.
