the people that run metro are utter morons

For the people who don't really need it, Metro is a great transit system.

For those who desperately need it, it's a nightmare.

by people who don't really need it, i mean 9-5 office workers who've been teleworking since march. the same people who, when metro is melting down, can afford a surge price uber. they love the theory of metro.

and they love it because they're almost totally immune to it's many failings.

Metro’s not some poor little helpless orphan. It’s like a greedy, alcoholic & abusive spouse who blames you for all its problems. And every time it promises to do better, it lets you down and then threatens you and asks for money.
