#JayalalithaaBirthday Being her birthday today let us look at her achievements and her good qualities.
Jayalalithaa holds the record for having been the Tamil actress with maximum silver jubilee hits in her career—85 hits of 92 Tamil films as main female lead heroine and she

also has all 28 films in Telugu as silver jubilee hits. She was the highest-paid Indian actress from 1965 to 1980. She received praise for her versatility as an actress and for her dancing skills, earning the sobriquet "Queen of Tamil Cinema. She was academically brilliant and

could master a lot with her reading and comprehension skills. Most of her film world peers recall that the young Jaya never came to the sets without a book in hand. They say she never made small talk with the other stars and chose to devote her time to reading instead. She served

six times as the CM of TN for over fourteen years between 1991 and 2016. From 9 February 1989 she was the general secretary of AIADMK whose cadre revered her as their Amma and Puratchi Thalaivi. Her government received attention for its extensive social-welfare agenda, which

included several subsidised Amma branded goods such as canteens, bottled water, salt and cement. Free laptops for students, along with mid-day meal scheme introduced breakfast meals across government schools. The successful cradle-baby scheme, which enabled mothers to anonymously

offer their newborns for adoption is highly laudable. In her second consecutive term tackled this problem by giving a strong push to solar energy. The government also provided   200-750 units of free electricity to handloom and power loom weavers. She made RWH mandatory for all

government and residential buildings. The scheme soon helped people in water-starved regions such as Chennai by raising water tables in most neighbourhoods. She was very smart and an intelligent leader. She was very hard working, she was known to be a very strict taskmaster too.

She was very decisive, regardless of what needed to be done and who was against it, if there is something that she decides to get done it will be done. She had a better vision for Tamilnadu than most other leaders who were focussed entirely on winning an election. She knew the

political landscape very well. She could have become the PM of the country too of the negatives hadn’t derailed her. It is an irrepeairable loss to Tamilnadu in that aspect that someone who understands not just TN politics but All India politics is no more She could quote Keats

and Bharathiyaar and the Bard, all in one sentence and make a socio political statement out of it. She was versatile in several languages. She does not have any offsprings but did leave a legacy behind and she has her masses who call her #Amma
