The Isaias Afewerki-led EPLF collaborated with the Derg's Tigray extermination efforts by blocking a path to Tigrayans fleeing from the 1984/5 famine to Sudan. 3/15

Eskinder Nega likens Tigrayans to the Jews of Germany and calls for “Ethiopians” to take lessons from “Nazi Germany’s heroic extermination techniques” and do the same on Tigrayans. These were published in a newspaper for years. hornaffairs.com/2012/10/21/esk… 4/15

Berhanu Nega's anti-Tigrayan Ginbot 7 joins Ethiopian patriotic front whose program includes eliminating the “disgraceful” Tigrayan ethnicity. They establish a base in Eritrea. Berhanu is the founder of @ESATtv founded with funding from Eritrea. 5/15

ESAT consistently target Tigrayans. In 2017, ESAT broadcast a call to the 95 percent of Ethiopians to exterminate the 5 percent [Tigrayans]. Similar calls become mainstream on social media. 6/15

In the same year, the idea of finishing off Tigrayans takes root in Gondar and the broader Amhara. People talk openly about exterminating 6 million Tigrayans 7/15

Abiy Ahmed comes riding the anti-Tigray wave that @ESATtv, @eskinder_nega and others cultivated. 100,000 Tigrayans got displaced from the Amhara region and other areas. Tigrayans become a scapegoat for any problem in Ethiopia. 8/15

Abiy Ahmed broadcast a documentary on all TV stations, portraying Tigrayans as criminals and corrupt worthy of ostracism and persecution. He also calls Tigrayans "daylight hyenas" and "unfamiliar others". 9/15

Isaias of Eritrea intensifies anti-Tigrayan campaign. Asmeron Legesse, a professor, spews unheard of hate against Tigrayans accusing Tigrayans of inferiority complex, perfidy, betrayal and untrustworthiness. He was awarded by Addis Abeba univ. 10/15

Berhanu Nega forms @ETHZema. Isaias, Abiy Ahmed, ESAT and Amhara extremists coalesce around anti-Tigrayan cmapiagn. ESAT pushes for a joint Eritrea-Amhara-Federal attack on Tigray. 11/15

On October 2020, ESAT called on the Abiy government to disrupt the infrastructures of banking, electricity, internet, telephone, and salary payments in Tigray. 12/15

ESAT also called for closing Tigrayan businesses and Tigrayan bank accounts and specifically said “the most important point is that the federal government must take actions that disrupt the livelihood of the Tigrayan people". 13/15

In November 2020, the war on Tigray started. Amhara forces, Eritrean forces, @AbiyAhmedAli, @ETHZema together with several other forces and UAE drones devastated Tigray and Tigrayan lives. Livelihood is destroyed, millions are being starved to extinction. 14/15
