From @TARGETabx toolkit on @rcgp website- prescribing of ABx has been creeping up since the turn of the century- it's a popular misconception that ABx were only overprescribed in the bad old days...! But there's been better news recently...

The breakdown amongst Abx groups:
Reductions in Penicillins in Primary Care and Dental Prescribing, Reduced Cephalosporins, Reduced Tetracyclines and a mixed picture on Quinolones. Macrolides also reduced by 14.6%, but max 4 pics...

@TeamGP outcomes after the 5 year project. Justifiable pride in the performance from Primary Care Teams: sustained reductions throughout the period of study:
Reduced inappropriate prescribing
Reduced broad spectrum prescribing
