A really good presentation by the EPA on school ventilation.

HT: @citlanx - thank you!

But stop! Remember that up-close aerosols are very important as well. Both near and far aerosols can be protected against by....#bettermasks.
This thread would not be complete without Dr. Miller's work (please follow her...and everyone else in this thread):

IAQ too complicated?

Well, turns out there's an app for it!

Airborne Outbreaks need IAQ experts involved. Foodborne and water-borne are well-established (next tweet).

Airborne is not. I give you two examples later in this thread.
For foodborne and water-borne, the CDC has well-established relationships:

Foodborne:. cdc.gov/foodsafety/out…

Water-borne:
cdc.gov/healthywater/s…
Airborne Outbreaks?

Chicago
cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/7…

Below we can see a generic recommendation that is functionally useless.

What was the actual ACH? What specifically was wrong with the ventilation? What IAQ experts were involved?

#AskWHO @KuzmanovicA @gabbystern

Please explain how to square your interim mask guidance:
who.int/publications/i…

Which recommends not to wear masks during intense physical activity? Image
The CDC's primary take-away is listed first.

Which is to wear a mask DURING high-intensity activities.

How do you square that? Image
Regarding ventilation...the guidance lists adequate ventilation at 10 l/s/person...which is 1.2 ACH for 10 to 15 people.

How is the normal Joe Public supposed to know that?

Isn't it better to say...most indoor locations do NOT have adequate ventilation, so please mask up?

Do masks increase humidity? Yes. And temperature - surprising at first, but makes sense.

Why is this important? The humidity results in coalescence of droplets, making them bigger - and easier to capture by the mask.

Here's a simple N95 that I bought at Lowe's a year ago. Image
SensorPush that fits in the mask. I put it with humidity sensor away from my mouth, towards mask. Image
Starting temp and RH with no mask. Image

Sigh...

Truckers may be frustrated, but I don't think they understand their fellow Americans.

Namely, Koch, Adelson, and the other Republican rich.

Trucking shuts down, Oil/Gas shuts down (Koch).

Oil/gas shuts down, Las Vegas shuts down (Adelson).

Trucking shuts down,
Walmart shuts down (Waltons), small town America shuts down.

So, the majority of Americans did vote against Trump, so they will be livid after having to live with him for 4, very unhappy years.

The rich (see above) will be livid because they will be losing money.
The red states will be livid because it turns out Covid is real, and medicine/ PPE shortages will result in people being turned away from the hospitals as doctors also get sick/ population rolls into the hospitals. Looks great on TV to see people falling down dead on the str.

Please sign and retweet/share on social media this petition to get the World Health Organization to clearly acknowledge that CoVid is airborne (they haven't fully), and be crystal clear about why they are urging masks and ventilation:
covidisairborne.org/home

Here's why:
Person A walks up to you on the street, and says - "Here, wear this mask."

Or, Person B walks up to you and says, "Hey - when we breath, talk, or sing, we're kicking out tiny contagious particles of Covid. If you wear this mask, if you happen to be sick, you are much less"
likely to make your parents sick. AND if someone else is sick, then you are much less likely to get sick yourself."

Which person do you listen to?

Right now, the World Health Organization is Person A.

THEY NEED TO BE PERSON B.
