Of Kingdom and Sweet Words

Sometime back when I just got married, a young man brought a young lady to visit with the intent to introduce her as his Beloved.

I was so happy for him and I told him that much.

Then I teased the young lady and asked her how he “toasted” her.
“Sir, don’t mind him o. He just came and told me God said and left me and I also left him waiting because though I heard from God, I felt it was appropriate he wooed me as well.

It was when he saw I wasn’t showing any sign he ask what was wrong that I explained to him”.
He got the message and did justice to the process.

Brothers, don’t just stop at “God said...” and then go cold. You make it look like it’s take it or leave it.

You don’t “choke” God said to a daughter of Zion. For God to bring you her way, He expects more from you.
Ensure you play your part. Get to know more by going out on dates as this would allow you see more of her.

Write to her, send songs to her and leave a memory in her heart.

When I was toasting my wife, wo, she hear am o! I had a Nokia phone that had a scheduler for SMS.
Once it was 6:00AM, SMS was automatically sent and then a call would follow 15 minutes after for us to pray.

I discovered my wife’s love language - madame loves gifts and assistance in chores around the house.

She was in Kaduna and I was in Lagos, unemployed.
With the little I made, I bought gifts (earrings, bracelets, shoes, perfume oils) in preparation for my visits.

I always loved the glow of her honey colored eyes when she smiles seeing the gifts.

I wrote poems and love letters o 😎😎😎.

She sef know say “Man is Good”.
We had a word from God before we got married and even when we had nasty fights in the earlier stages, we had God’s word to fall back to.

Divorce has never and will never be an option.

We didn’t marry with the hidden intent to divorce at the hint of trouble.
I remember when I was sitting at a friends place and I asked the Holy Spirit for a line for her and it came:

“Chaviva, you just crossed my heart, spent a heart beat but left a memory”.

Omoeaux! It was a banger.

The Holy Spirit has taught me a lot about marriage.
However, He started in the relationship I had with my wife.

Brothers, do better. You’re not a Spartan from Agunlejika but a child of the Most High whose very creation is poetry in motion.

Do the work and keep doing it because it would require more from you to keep the fire.
Sisters, don’t forget to reciprocate the gestures. Learn to give and appreciate.

Find his love language and appreciate it. It’s not everyday “You don’t care about me again”.

Shebi you learnt something?

Then I pray for you - may you find joy and happiness in that man/woman.
May God’s love keep what you’re building and sustain it after it has been built.

May your children see the standard of God’s ideal for marriage in you and run with that vision.

As a man finds a wife, finds a good thing, he will surely obtain God’s Favour.

Amen.

Papa,

It was one of the editions of EXCEL at TBS as an usher that I met you.

I was assigned to watch your car and ensure folks don’t come and sleep on it.

I recall a young couple who approached me as I stood menacingly with a frown asking if they could pray beside the car.
The reason? They wanted approval for their union but their parents didn’t care if they heard from God.

“Go ahead” I muttered because I understood how parents sometimes use tribal sentiments to frustrate divine arrangements.

They finished and another young man came.
Ah ahn?!

“Please Sir, I have been unemployed for years and I know I won’t have the chance for Daddy to lay hands on me but let me just touch the bonnet and pray”. He finished.

Omo!

Please go ahead but he kuku placed his face on the bonnet praying in tongues.

Two years ago, there was a lady who started posting strange eulogies to a water deity and in the same vein she starts posting scriptures from the book of Psalms.

The following day, she posts on "confessions" and "vibrations".

Whenever I make a post of facebook, she shows up.
"Oh! Every time Holy Spirit this, Holy Spirit that. We are one and your posts are discriminatory against other religion because they all have the "same spirit"".

"Ok" I respond.

She fails to understand that I don't want to argue but persists.

"God is love...'
"... and they are many paths to Him. When I was pregnant for my baby, I used to play songs from Enya to help me calm down and baby to sleep and form well in the womb."

"Ok". I respond, again.

"Well, whatever because I know you don't have monopoly of God." She fires on.

Many years ago before I got married, I would wake up in tongues at odd hours of the night and start interceding.

With my eyes closed, I’ll begin to see houses in the area and by revelation begin to call out issues in that house and praying for them.

It lasted an hour each time.
I remember when I got married, the same thing started happening.

I would see like a locator pin on the house, see a name and like a scroll showing the challenge(s) of that person or family or sometimes even the house.

The Holy Spirit would tell me of things planted there.
On one such occasion, there was a house in the vicinity that was known to just swallow up destinies.

It was the cheapest house there and had a strange broom strung by the entrance.

It was dirty with a foreboding shadow of darkness - the woman who owned it sold ėkó.

A couple of days ago as I sat in the presence of One, he showed me a vision of a waterfall and a medium sized bowl was placed under it.

He went further to explain: “This is how I’m pouring on my people in these days but what they want is a measure.”
Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is counted as a forest.”
Isaiah 32:15 NKJV

Can a bowl make a barren land into a fruitful field?

“Never”. I replied.
There are no limitations with me except you.

Tonight, we would be ministering on the TEAM Word and Prophecies Telegram platform.

There’s always an outpouring and I know the Holy Spirit longs to make many of you a fruitful field and then, a Forest:

In a family of 7, she always felt left out.

Her mother told the story of her birth many times. One day, when her mother was pregnant for her, a colleague in the office gave her a N10 note and upon getting home, she noticed rashes all over her body.

Her mother panicked.
She was Catholic but she knew this was "beyond" church hence she sought alternatives from the "other side".

Yes. She got relief and since then became careful of people and gifts. The world was a wicked place she would always tell her children.

At 9 months into the pregnancy...
... her daughter wasn't making an attempt to come out and then by the 10 month, she came - looking like a one year old child - her skin wrinkled and always cranky immediately she beheld the light from a fallen world.

Her mother always told her siblings - she's a special child.

The reason I bought a James Hardley Chase was because of the scantily dressed women.

I started smoking because of the Marlboro advert of a cowboy wearing Sancho boots with Levi Strauss jeans.

I started going to the gym because of the front covers of Mills and Boon.
Reading books of such made me see women as filial and weak because in such books, the woman was resisting physically yet desiring within.

The man was supposed to dominate her by kissing her fiercely.

Porn? It was endless. We had older ones who counted women as trophies.
Anything good? Yes! I studied Computer Science because of Computer Chronicles that was showing back then on TV.

I thirsted for the supernatural when I watched a ministration by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome on Channels.

I didn’t understand it but I desired it.
