RYP Trivia: When I first went on TV to promote my books I used to wear my hand tailored wool suits. The producers would freak out and ask if I was the adventure guy. 
For magazine stuff I had to stand in front of a junk yard, graffiti or something adventurey looking.
For a long time at Nat Geo when I did my column on survival, I was a cartoon.
Everyone once in a while someone will get a shot of me in the field doing what I do best. I quit my Discovery series for a year because one of the senior production people wanted me to emote more...."like the Crocodile Hunter." Well we know how that turned out.
So I am happy just basking in permanent fashion less resting bitch face, wearing my dorky golf shirt, MC hammer pants and man purse. Still figuring things out and filming/documenting the world's wars.
My favorite shots are of me listening to people and sharing their world. Trying to figure things out so I can be smarter and wiser maybe pass on that knowledge via books or films or conversations. That's really all I am trying to pass on. The joy of learning the hard way.
