Language was invented so humans could communicate by evoking shared and repeatable real experiences.
We've now come to a point where media, politicians, academia, and all manner of influential people are using language mostly to obfuscate human experiences to impose a viewpoint.
Nothing that is reported as 'news' any longer represents what actually happened. It only represents what the news media wants you to think happened. Maybe the news business was always this way, but it seems it used to have higher standards to avoid blatant and crass manipulation.
Note the obfuscation on Capitol riot of January 6.
So much for the "armed" part of the "armed insurrection" -- a description of the riot used in newspapers, websites, and cable news transcripts 2,339 times since Jan 6.
The "one lady" was the rioter Ashli Babbitt, who was killed by a bullet fired by a Capitol Police officer.
And some more perspective on the January 6 so-called "armed insurrection."
I wonder what a similar hearing about the arsons and murders of last summer might reveal. Democratic leaders and the media were unperturbed, if not downright elated, about those. What deceitful snakes!
“Over the last four years, white liberals have become a larger and larger share of the Democratic Party,” says Democratic polling maven David Shor -- an Obama campaign veteran.
2. Democrats gained 0.5-1.0% among non-college whites and roughly 7% among white college graduates.
Democrats lost 1-2% among African-Americans, lost 8-9% among Hispanics, and lost 5% among Asian Americans.
3. Not a lot of people expected Donald Trump’s GOP to have a much more diverse support base than Mitt Romney’s did in 2012. But that’s exactly what happened.
Demand for long-lasting manufactured goods jumped in January, as the U.S. economic recovery gained momentum at the start of the year.
2. New orders for durable goods—products designed to last at least three years, such as computers and machinery—increased 3.4% to a seasonally adjusted $256.6 billion in January compared with December, the Commerce Department said Thursday.
3. It was the ninth straight month of gains and the largest percentage increase since July 2020. Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal expected a 1% gain, after an upwardly revised 1.2% increase the previous month.
New York’s governor did to the disabled the same thing he did to the elderly.
At last, Joe Biden, Anthony Fauci and CNN are no longer presenting New York Democrat Andrew Cuomo as the model governor in pandemic response.
2. The question now is how many lives were lost due to Gov. Cuomo's reckless policy of forcing vulnerable populations to accept greater risk of infection—and then hiding the results. Nursing homes were not the only places forced to accept Covid-positive patients.
3. Maria McFadden Maffucci writes at National Review: “Cuomo’s edicts put another vulnerable population in inexcusable peril: New Yorkers with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) living in group homes.”
"They [The Lincoln Project founders] opportunistically identified the optimal Trump-era profit model: namely, relentlessly fleece scared and gullible #Resistance liberals of their cash by posturing as brave and principled warriors against Trumpism."
"But their lucrative scheme could never have succeeded without the knowingly fraudulent cooperation of liberal networks such as MSNBC and CNN."
The massive Chittor Fort, also known as the Chittorgarh, in India is a legendary UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort, which is roughly in the shape of a fish, has a circumference of 8 miles with a maximum length of 3 miles and it covers an area of 700 acres.
Chittor Fort, India
It was sacked three times by Muslim Attackers -- in 1303 by Alauddin Khalji, then again in 1535 by Bahadur Shah, and lastly by Mughal king Akbar in 1568, and its Hindu Rajput rulers fought fiercely to maintain their independence. ...
On all three occasions when faced with a certain defeat, the men fought to death while the women committed suicide by jauhar (mass self-immolation) rather than be captured, raped, and enslaved by the conquerors. Bollywood made a movie about it in 2018 called "Padmaavat."
