IMO we don't spend enough time talking about how Q's followers -- a whole lot of 'em, anyway -- straight-up take orders from Q.
Consider Jenn here: Q talked about making QAnon more mainstream, so she did interviews.
Or consider the "digital camouflage" drop, or the Oath, etc.
We REALLY dodged a bullet when Q more or less stopped posting after November 3rd.
How bad would it have been if Q *had* posted something like "Storm (insert city here)'s ballot counting operation to save the state for Trump?"
I'm guessing... bad. Very, very bad.
So why *didn't* Q do it?
If Q really is, as some people have speculated, a foreign "psyop" aimed at sowing division in US society,
A) why not *use it* operationally to plunge us into a terrible constitutional crisis?
and
B) why abandon it at all?
Q's silence -- the willingness of Q, in a "use it or lose it" scenario, to *lose* their persona instead of *using* it to achieve some strategic objective -- strongly suggests (at least to me!) that Q is a non-state actor who's very much afraid of consequences.
This is largely speculation, of course. What do I know, really? The boundaries of my expertise are very, very narrow, and this kinda thing is WAY outside them.
But still... Q *would* be an incredibly valuable asset and I *do* struggle to imagine why a state would just walk away

And SINCE the claims work when there's a deadline attached, why not just... extend the LARP indefinitely?
"Guys, we're gonna need to fight through an Antifa roadblock soon."
"Uh... when?"
"Ssssomeday? Like. Probably soon. Anyway let's LARP about how to do it."
"... sure!"
Yesterday I talked about how QAnon spread in part because it's a shared world-building project -- collaborating with friends to build a fantasy world is fun and creative.
@nickmartin is MUCH better placed than I am to say if the people engaging w/*this* fantasy are having fun.
Ron Watkins (the once and perhaps future admin of 8kun) has broken his silence on Telegram.
His last message, on Inauguration Day, featured a passage widely lampooned as "the real Storm was the friends we made along the way," *which was an almost-fair paraphrase*.
Now he says:
I don't think he's gonna come off QUITE as well as he imagines he will. But that's just me!
Here's his January 20th message, BTW.
Watkins, who spent the months between the election and the inauguration trying to start a civil war (at one point explicitly urging Trump to "cross the Rubicon"), *also* found the time to rebrand himself as an "expert" on voting machines, because he claimed he'd read a manual. 🙄
ADVENTURES OF YOUNG GEORGE WASHINGTON, HIMBO EXTRAORDINAIRE
Now, everyone knows there are two things that make a Quality Himbo(tm): Hotness, on the one hand, and a combination of earnestness and... um... not-very-brightness, on the other.
Which should I show first?
Also, for people who -- understandably -- are like "Uh. Wait. What?", here you go:
So let's talk about the time George Washington, age 19, was bathing in the river and two local girls *stole his clothes* so they could get a better eyeful.
It's not that no one NOTICED the posts -- we know because another anon started a thread titled "To Q Clearance Patriot" to discuss them (this was after the lost drops were posted and before the canonical drops went up).
I praise @dappergander (and point people to their Patreon) A LOT. I should probably explain why!
Gander is the best analyst of any Q-watcher, and it's not especially close. At my *best*, I'm abouuuut... oh, 75% as good as one of Gander's more middlin' pieces.
And I ain't bad!
But Gander is BETTER. Let's go to the tapes to show you what I mean.
A month ago, Gander wrote a piece about the canonization process -- that is, the way anons built up a list of posts that they thought were by Q.
I've poked at the canonization process a LITTLE bit -- I try to keep my research roughly chronological, but this is such an obviously important subject that I've taken little nibbles here and there, trying to understand it.
So I speak with some authority, I hope, when I say:
