North Carolina and sterilization have a long—and relatively recent—history.
google.com/amp/s/amp.news…
“From 1929 to 1974, North Carolina’s eugenics program sterilized close to 7,600 men and women, making it impossible for them to reproduce or conceive, according to The Justice for Sterilization Victims Foundation.”

1974.

Regarding Brett Kavanaugh’s association with the Federalist Society:

During his April 2004 confirmation for the DC Circuit, he told Senator Durbin that FedSoc “does not take position on issues. It does not have a platform.”

I think he lied.

Kavanaugh’s response seems disingenuous, as ten months before he made that statement to Durbin under oath, he’d received an email—at his White House account—from FedSoc’s Joel Pardue. The subject was “Tasks.”

(2/10)
The tasking was directed by the Federalist Society, and was part of the organization’s campaign to confirm one of George W. Bush’s judicial nominees.

FedSoc’s Pardue and C. Boyden Gray had tasks—as did Brett Kavanaugh.

Remember when William Burck withheld thousands of documents from Brett Kavanaugh’s tenure as Staff Secretary, and Lindsey Graham was apoplectic over Kavanaugh’s treatment during his confirmation hearing?

Lindsey’s principal campaign committee received $10,000 from Burck.
judiciary.senate.gov/press/dem/rele…
Lindsey Graham’s is the only principal committee for a Senate campaign that Burck’s contributed to during the current cycle. The optics here aren’t good.
What rewards will Lindsey recieve for summoning rabies during Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation hearing? Given this morning’s reporting on his opponent’s raising, I don’t think $10,000 is gonna cut it.

Congratulations to the three elected officials—and the two appointees—in tight Senate races who recently secured tens of millions of dollars in DOT grants for their home states. Some received their grants after contacting Secretary Chao directly. (1)
Coincidentally, the campaigns of four of these Senators—Gardner, McConnell, McSally, and Tillis—received $50,000+ in independent expenditures from a McConnell-aligned Super PAC just before Trump’s Senate trial. (2)

Secretary Chao was, coincidentally, in communication with that Super PAC’s leadership, as was (now) Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen—Chao’s deputy at the time. (3)

When the father of Mitch McConnell’s 2014 campaign opponent was sentenced for criminal campaign finance violations, USPS Governor Duncan’s son made the announcement. McConnell praised “Trump’s” nomination of Robert M. Duncan, Jr. to be USA for EDKY.
@weareoversight wkyufm.org/post/republica…
The FEC complaint that led to Lundergan’s prosecution by EDKY was filed by the Republican Party of Kentucky, of which Robert “Mike” Duncan was, at the time, national committeeman.

Kentucky’s Republican National Convention delegates for 2016 included Mitch McConnell; Robert “Mike” Duncan; and Elaine Chao’s current Chief of Staff, former insurance agent J. Todd Inman.
