Not the prettiest rainbow of diversity, but it’s probably a pretty representative slice of the minority of Americans the Senate majority actually represents.
#118 is FedSoc’s C. Boyden Gray, a longtime friend/donor of Susan Collins, who—small world!—dated Mitch’s future wife, herself a former FedSoc advisor, back in the day. His law firm represented John Solomon in a lawsuit to acquire Hunter Biden’s State Department records.

Congratulations to the three elected officials—and the two appointees—in tight Senate races who recently secured tens of millions of dollars in DOT grants for their home states. Some received their grants after contacting Secretary Chao directly. (1)
Coincidentally, the campaigns of four of these Senators—Gardner, McConnell, McSally, and Tillis—received $50,000+ in independent expenditures from a McConnell-aligned Super PAC just before Trump’s Senate trial. (2)

Secretary Chao was, coincidentally, in communication with that Super PAC’s leadership, as was (now) Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen—Chao’s deputy at the time. (3)

When the father of Mitch McConnell’s 2014 campaign opponent was sentenced for criminal campaign finance violations, USPS Governor Duncan’s son made the announcement. McConnell praised “Trump’s” nomination of Robert M. Duncan, Jr. to be USA for EDKY.

The FEC complaint that led to Lundergan’s prosecution by EDKY was filed by the Republican Party of Kentucky, of which Robert “Mike” Duncan was, at the time, national committeeman.

Kentucky’s Republican National Convention delegates for 2016 included Mitch McConnell; Robert “Mike” Duncan; and Elaine Chao’s current Chief of Staff, former insurance agent J. Todd Inman.

Between May and August, a hedge fund (Electron Capital Partners) managed by Mitch McConnell’s brother in law, James O. “Jos” Shaver purchased $26,841,000 worth of (USPS contractor) XPO Logistics stock—the fund’s first puchase in its six-year history.

Last year, American Oversight filed a lawsuit to obtain communications between Mitch McConnell’s wife, Secretary Elaine Chao, and Senate Leadership Fund’s leadership. Deputy Attorney General Rosen, Chao’s deputy at the time, was also named in the suit.

This brief CNN slideshow highlights five notable insider trading cases; SAC Capital, which paid a $1.8 billion fine, is one of them. SAC Capital’s CEO, Steven A. Cohen, wasn’t indicted. Incidentally, he’s now a major contributor to Republican PACs. (2)

There’s a lot of speculation regarding the reason(s) behind @mikepompeo’s termination of the State IG. One potential reason that isn’t being discussed is his close involvement in Ukraine-related investigations.

@SenatorCollins has an interesting adjacency here, too. (1)
This story by @rebeccaballhaus hasn’t gotten a lot of traction, but it should. It should also raise a lot of questions about @EricUeland45’s role in Ukraine-Burisma-Biden investigations, and his role in the Senate impeachment trial. (2)

According to the article, Ueland met with Pompeo to discuss his potential appointment as Under Secretary of State for “human rights.”

Ueland worked for Pompeo as the Director of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assistance Resources from 10/18 through 3/19. (3)
