I didn't watch the Grammy's and I don't really follow pop music. My favorite musicians are dead. But I got some thoughts about what everyone's tweeting up in arms and it has to do with originality. So here goes:
The WAP performance... I'm an 80's child. Madonna made out with Black Jesus who came down from the cross. You think WAP is going to "shock" me? There's nothing original about this. Call it crass or vulgar- sure. But, quite honestly, it's boring. So, so boring.
Same with the boy band dude who wore a boa.

After David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Boy George, George Michael... you think I'm gonna jump at a Brit wearing women's clothes?

So, so boring... I mean we've seen all this for DECADES.

Try harder.
Originality in music is essential. If it sounds like everyone else, why bother listening? Zeppelin was original. The Cure. No one sounds like Morrissey or Elvis Costello or even Billy Joel. Last original sound was Adele 21.

You guys are recycled.

There is one script for every reality home renovation show. Whoever wrote it is a genius and must be making a fortune. The script includes:

Knock out this wall between the kitchen & dining room to give a more open feel.
In the living room I want to use the fireplace to anchor the room and give it a focal point.

Then in the kitchen we’ll put a big island for the kids to do homework and eat breakfast.
New hardwood floors throughout to add continuity throughout the home.

The master bedroom should be a sanctuary.

The master bath should have a spa like feel.

Loving all the DMs telling me renewables are NOT to blame for #TexasBlackout.

Green energy is NOT perfect. That's a non-controversial statement. If you don't accept it, we're done talking.

I don't waste time on intellectual children.
Fossil Fuels are not perfect either. That's not the issue.

The question is: given the cost, the lifestyle we demand as Americans, geopolitics, geology, physics, math, land use, etc what is the best mix of energy?
Politicians know this. That's why they talk about dietary regulation. Veganism. Banning the combustion engine. Heck, Bill Gates was just on 60 minutes talking about the sacrifice we must make. They know something has to give and they chose quality of life.

Did you chose that?

Hearing reports the great state of Texas is struggling with the electric grid and has asked residents to turn down their heat.

This is America’s future. The money behind “green energy” doesn’t care if it works. They are looking for ROI.

Your life is not their concern.
.@GovAbbott has a moral responsibility to ensure these wind and solar political stunts don’t risk people’s lives.

And they are political stunts. That’s why politicians push them and not free markets and free people.

Democrats never forced you to buy an iPhone. Why?
I’d welcome an honest conversation about renewables. What they cost. Where they are made. How much land they require. How many fossil fuels they need. What they do to utility prices.

But that conversation will never happen because you need adults- not politicians- at the table.

2020: when Marxist organizations parading as racial justice movements burnt down Main Street. And the media said nothing.
2020: When the son of the Democrat nominee was proven to be compromised by china and on the payroll of Ukraine. And the media said nothing.

2020: when hundreds of thousands of ballots appeared within a 3 hour window 100% for the dem candidate. And the media said nothing.
2020: When Andrew Cuomo was revered as a saint and sold a book on leadership while sending 6000 elderly to die. And the media said nothing.

2020: When Pelosi, Newsom, Lightfoot, Brown and dozens of elected dems violated their own lockdown orders. And the media said nothing.

She spelled “yes” wrong. Si... Sí... it’s only a big difference if she really were Spanish...

And quite frankly, a real Spanish person would end that sentence with “no” or “verdad”.

“Yes” is more an English construct.

Just a big phony.
I wrote a piece in @HumanEvents about the phony globalist green movement and mentioned a 2019 awards ceremony hosted by Alec Baldwin.

Hillary is as phony as her husband’s causes. It’s all a big rouse to travel and condemn others to misery.

Americans don’t have the luxury of #climatechange activism. We’re too busy living.

It’s a globalist rich and misanthropic cause. All the solutions require government growth and the prevention of economic opportunity. It condemns the poor and gathers the rich in fancy resorts.

The green movement will tell you wind/solar means we can stop using fossil fuels. But is electricity generation the main use of fossil fuels?

So why the push to use government to force the purchase of green products (70% of which are made in China)?
Well... who sits on the board of these companies? Who owns stock? How much did these companies give in campaign contributions?
They need land (millions of acres) for wind and solar farms. Who owns the land? Who gets tax credits? Who gets leasing rights?
