Magistrate Faruqui: Ms. Reffitt, I'm going to swear you in as a third party custodian. But please go on mute for now.
Ms. Reffitt: I'll try.
AUSA: She was going to be a witness today.
Order is given that none of the witnesses / suretors should listen

AUSA: We are seeking detention. Mr. Reffitt is a member of the Texas Three Percenters. He had an AR-15 and a hand gun and spoke about taking member of Congress out by the ankle. We arrived at the west side of the Capitol at 1:15 pm.

AUSA: Mr. Reffitt's daughter said she loves her father but that she was intimidated by him, he said if she was recording their conversation he would put a bullet... through the phone.

AUSA: Reffitt is a danger to obstruct justice [including because] he tried to intimidate his children.
Pre-Trial: We were recommending release. But now we're not sure.
Defense lawyer: I'd like Mrs Reffitt to put Peyton Reffitt on the line. She is 16.

Peyton Reffitt: Hi Judge Faruqui. I'm Peyton.
Judge Faruquy: I love it. You're on point. You seem like a very intelligent person.
Reffitt's lawyer: How did you feel about what your father said?
Peyton Reffitt: I wasn't it fear. It was just annoying.

Reffitt's lawyer: Has he prevented you from talking to anyone?
Peyton Reffitt: I have never thought of my father as a violent person.

Q: You knew your father had a gun in the house?
Peyton Reffitt: Yes. But I wasn't scared. As to my brother Jackson, he's not home as much as I am, and so he doesn't understand my father as much as I do.

Peyton Reffitt: My father does not let down his guard as much with my brother. They have political tensions.
Q: Did you reach out to the FBI about what your Dad had done on January 6?
Peyton Reffitt: I did not support him going. We debated it... give a moment

Peyton Reffitt: Give me a moment. I lost my train of thought.
Judge Faruqui: Thank you so much for being honest. You should be proud of yourself and remember this moment.

Next witness says, No one has ever felt threatened by Guy, ever.

Now Judge Faruqui is ordering Guy Reffitt detained.

Judge Faruqui: I have to go through my findings. I'll come back to you afterwards in the break-out room. I know this is difficult.
Mr. Reffitt, you have the opportunity to appeal.

Judge Faruqui: You will have an opportunity to raise issues to Judge Friedrich... You should be sent to a break-out room. Can we give him 10 minutes. I'll stay on for 10 minutes. You can cut the public line.
