So..it's been a day. Rained a bit, helped two family members with car trouble, but I see that GTY is being contemplated in the Twitterverse. This current review of Ortlund's book.

Let get right to it.
1) This isn't GTY, per se. Can anyone tell me who works at Grace to You?

2) This is Jeremiah Johnson, son of Phil Johnson, Elder of Grace Community Church and Executive Dir. at Grace to You. He also leads the Fair Oaks Ranch (Indian for Canyon Country adjacent) Grace Life Bible Study. He also is a Contributor to the GTY Blog. (darn bloggers!)

He is also co-undershepherd with Peter Sammons, professor at TMS. Remember both names.

(Peter Sammons, pictured on the left, was one of the professors who flaunted and mocked COVID regs. In addition to being a professor, he's also quite involved in Shepherd's Conference)

3) I have not read the review, nor have I read the book (however, now it's only encouraged me to give it a look), but shame on you all for believing that GTY, or any person working there would have a balanced or competent approach to "biblical" or "theological" pursuits.

It's the reason I never consider slamming someone's theology or critiquing a TheoBro. Because I can't trust what they're saying. I don't know their life and I'm going to take any biblical instruction or advice from them? That's not biblical.

Be that as it may, I can tell you

this is a book that was handed out for the Shepcon 2020. See, the stacks on stacks of books? You ignoramuses! Take up and read! Jeremiah Johnson's review is timed for a reason and the reason is not clear. On one hand I am glad it's happened, but if we take a look behind the

the curtain we will see the Wizard is not powerful and we can go back to Kansas. Without going into the particulars, The Johnsons are not those who could have it on any authority of being "gentle" or "lowly" or kind. Phil Johnson did doxx Julie Roys and still continues to

4) In a way, this IS GTY and it isn't. The $$$, the nepotism, the abuse cases. Are you really thinking you're going to get an honest, let alone biblical worldview from this lot?
