Anyway, this anon summarizes Q's story:

"He was saying that the Antifa riots will be a catalyst for Trump to use his executive powers to send in the Marines & establish martial law. Which also means he can send the Marines into Langley and the FBI headquarters and take control."
You know a LARPer is makin' an impression when you're ten posts in and you've already seen two people go "Put me in screencaps, please. I want to be a part of history." (Screencaps are... I'll show you a sample and you'll see what's up. Primitive and ugly, no? Like /pol/ itself.)
But anons HAD to resort to this kind of device, early on, to track Q's posts (or the posts of any long-term LARPer). Eventually there were so many posts they created community-run spreadsheets (e.g. "STORM IS HERE" and "Q QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER")...
and coders who were QAnon fans started writing programs to scrape Q's drops off 4chan, which in the BEGINNING required a ton of manual work to meld together items from the spreadsheet with items from the screencaps.

But once Q started using a tripcode, it was much easier.
Anyway, the aggregators we now know -- that is, the sites where the faithful can read the Q drops *without* having to stick their face in the bucket of warm shit that is 4chan -- evolved from the few, the proud, the INTENSELY sweaty nerds who made those proto-aggregators.
OK, back on topic. Also this is why I probably should not livetweet anything ever again; I get distracted and go down these rabbit holes and suddenly I'm 10 tweets in and we're like... 10% of the way through the thread.

OK, so the Antifa Apocalypse™ of November 4th is a theme.
This will not surprise ANYONE who's read my content. Anons were very scared and worried about it. Take this one:

"Does anyone have a list of what cities antifa are supposedly gonna riot in? Wanna check if my loved ones are in those cities and if it's happening in my city."
Every once in a while, however, reality -- or possibly just /leftypol/ -- will intrude on a thread.

Consider this post: "Again and again in this series I am struck by how people project on others the hate, intolerance, refusal to accommodate that is in fact within themselves...
My impression is of a "right", for want of a better term, that is staring into the mirror belligerently talking itself into a fight that actually it and it alone wants."

See, this poster GETS it.

archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/147…
I should add that notorious 4chan troll Defango was in my mentions just the other day (and just NOW!) talking about his *valiant service* in *going to a communist bookstore to reveal Antifa's plans.*

Thank you for your service, patriot. I hope you found the chilling truth:
that Bob Avakian is a creepy old man whose "Revolutionary Communist Party" is both a cult of personality *and* a group of sad little bumblefucks.

But hey, it has "Revolutionary" and "Communist" in the name! It's *big* scary, and the Extremely Online Right was WISE to be afeirt.
During the post-election period, you may have heard anons claiming a "color revolution" was afoot here. This was nonsense, but it IS an old fear on 4chan.

Color revolutions, BTW, are GOOD: they're mass protests that topple dictators w/little bloodshed.👍

archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/147…
Anyway I linked to that post bc it's worth reading: it references "the recent Purple Revolution OP guy" (again: anons were feverishly discussing November 4th, just pissing their pants in an orgy of fear & then getting awkward fascist boners of anticipation -- it's gross to see).
But WHEN you see it, and I hope I'm describing it in a way that does justice to how funny and grotesque and sad and repellant it *is*...

WHEN you see it in thread after thread, you grasp how *essential* the fear of November 4th was to QAnon's success. So here's a fun hypothesis:
if not for Bob Avakian's cult of personality, there would be no QAnon.

So... I guess the RCP's calls for anti-Trump protests sparked ONE fuckin' mass movement. But they're SUCH incredible bumblefucks that it was a PRO-Trump mass movement. Great work, kids.
I'm gonna stop livetweeting after this post bc I could have finished my first read-through by now if I weren't also livetweeting.

But this post IS a doozy. It's a good one to end with.

Why?

A) it's the first post ever to call Q a "psyop." Everyone else is copying this CHUD.
B) It's titled "LARP WAR 1/2" (so OK, I guess I have to do LARP WAR 2/2 as well, huh?)

C) Look how many fucking LARPs were afoot! (I think this is a repost from CBTS #3, actually; I remember covering something very similar. But seriously... look how many! Each line's a new LARP)
D) Here's LARP War 2/2. Several interesting things about it:

First, this anon is correct that Q posted in one of Highway Patrol's spinoff threads. That's the 2nd batch of lost drops I found -- the ones from 10/30/17. Good work, anon! Eagle eyes there.
Second, *holy hell*, think how many threads this anon must have been visiting to see all this stuff go down.

Third, *LARPing is a spectator sport* to this anon. This is their soap opera. This is their Days of Our Lives.

And this isn't the ONLY anon who tracks LARPs so eagerly.
How do I know? 'cause peep this reply:

"We don't need this shit in here Anon. We're all aware."

*We're all aware.*

Man... think how much happier these twisted little 4chan fucks would be if they just watched "Scrubs" or whatever.

Aaand done for tonight. See you around, nerds!
P.S. "dude, i've had uppity leftists in my affluent area coming in for no reason and mouthing off had to clock three of them, listen to what the other anons are saying stock up on ammo supplies right fucking today and shoot first this isn't a larp" 🙄🙄🙄

You know what? Let's livetweet some research!

I'll be reading through Calm Before The Storm thread #4, from 11/2/17.

For the perplexed: CBTS threads were created to talk about Q, though CBTS #4 is *so* early on there's plenty of talk about other LARPers.
archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/147…
First notable post:

"Okay, I read all four threads, it was either a god-tier larp or legit. I honestly think it was legit for maybe the first time in my life.

but I don't understand WHAT op-anon was saying was going to happen."

More on Op-Anon shortly (I read ahead; sue me.)
You might think that "Op-Anon" means OP Anon. You are wrong. There was an anon in an earlier thread claiming to be an "operator" in the Special Forces sense.

4chan LARPers *love* to say that. Highway Patrolman claimed to be a 6'7" Special Forces vet/SWAT cop w/15 combat tours.

MegaAnon was the most successful LARPer on 4chan when Q came around.

To be clear, I don't think she was Q. There are a TON of differences between them. But her basic story -- at least, the story she was telling a few days before Q popped into being -- was AWFULLY familiar. 1/12
If I had to choose one post from her oeuvre to show what her deal was (and I do, or this would be a million-tweet thread), this would be it.

In this post, Trump is a 5D chessmaster who knows *everything* about the swamp & his staff. And he has a plan. 2/

archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/146…
I encourage you to read that post closely -- it hits a *ton* of the same notes Q went on to hit starting a few days later.

Like Q, MegaAnon's theories, too, were spun off from Pizzagate -- they centered on child sex abuse & claimed that Trump was saving kids from the swamp. 3/

This article is a good reminder that most QAnon conversation really IS driven by a small number of influencers. We don't just focus on them for convenience.

On Q-focused subreddits, for instance, 80% of the content came from 5% of users (see p. 10 below).
arxiv.org/pdf/2101.08750…
Of course, those 5% weren't all influencers. Many were more what you'd call superfans.

But the point is that *it's not hard to tell* who the most devoted spreaders-of-lies are on any given platform. Platforms COULD bring the banhammer down on them & leave the consumers alone.
But they don't, in general.

And I don't understand why.

I get being reluctant to ban LOTS of folks en masse, but I don't understand their reluctance to just... go after the relatively small number of superspreaders, and keep going after 'em on their ban evasion accounts.

This is an INCREDIBLE find by @SethDaire.

Not only does it resolve (IMO) The Mystery of Drop 35™, but it has -- in one stroke -- forced me to change my opinion of whether Q was an evangelical: I now think it's unlikely.

How'd I get all that from just 👇? Come find out! 1/10
So, the mystery of drop 35 is: in the excerpt below, Q mashes together two famous verses (John 3:16 and a selection from 1 Corinthians 13) in a way that's COMPLETELY alien to how Christians use the Bible.

Why?

And Seth proposes an answer: because Q saw it on Bible Gateway. 2/
Now, that seems weirdly specific. How likely is it that Q even WENT to Bible Gateway?

Turns out it's *very* likely.

See, BG is the most popular site out there for Biblical text lookup (it's a top-1000 site OVERALL, per Alexa). Its only serious competition is Bible Hub. 3/

Longtime readers will know that I'm not ridin' the "QAnon is Russia!" train -- but I like and respect @Dragnet_News, who IS riding the train but is a tenacious & knowledgeable passenger.

One part of this article is especially interesting.

dragnetnews.com/2021/03/12/who…
The article notes that Your News Wire (a fake news site described by an EU body as a "Russian proxy") made a claim that dovetailed VERY nicely with Q's predictions: it said that John Podesta was arrested on November 4, 2017 -- just like Q had claimed.

salon.com/2017/11/19/the…
This is indeed interesting!

What Dragnet News *doesn't* mention, but IMO probably should have, is that Your News Wire wasn't the only fake news site to publish that story on November 5.

A British site called Neon Nettle ran the same story...

Q Telegram update: still bloodthirsty; fascist; deluded
Further update: also a little impatient
AND just weirdly obsessed with “proving” that world leaders are secretly the child of (INSERT VILLAIN HERE).

The classic case is, of course, claiming that Merkel is Hitler’s daughter; but here, the anon claims Justin Trudeau is Fidel Castro's son 🤷‍♂️
