Bihar - The El Salvador of India. (A thread)

As I watched an interview of the president of El Salvador with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, I couldn’t help but draw an Indian parallel. It’s Bihar, my home state but I’ll come to it later.
First the background. El Salvador is a poor country in Central America. The economic parameters of the country narrate a sad story of decades of corruption, red tape and an absolute lack of accountability. It is a place where dreams die. But it’s right under the belly of the US.
El Salvadorans have, for decades, dreamed only one dream - get into the US somehow and start a life of prosperity and safety. Most of their families stay in El Salvador itself and they get remittances from the ones who made it.
El Salvador has now become a country whose next export is human beings. Its economy is supported by the remittances of the Salvadorans in the US. And US gets cheap labor in return. But there are two downsides to it.
First, No one one likes illegal immigrants. Salvadorans aren’t welcomed with open arms in the US and for the right reason. Why should the Americans feed illegal aliens from another country. Liberal media likes to call it racism, I call it normal human behaviour.
Second, with a better government, the Salvadorans could have created much more wealth in their own country, more than the remittances that El Salvador survives on. The brain drain could have been stemmed. It could have been a better country.
But no government ever thought about it. And now it’s a vicious cycle. The able bodied and bright minded Salvadorans will never stay in their country and their country will never improve because those who could have, have already left.
And it’s all because the country never had a president who gave a serious thought to it. They were content surviving on the scraps from the US. The current president Bukele seems like an honest man who wants to solve this crisis and may he succeed in his noble pursuit.
Bihar is the El Salvador of India. Every day trains full of cheap labour leave various train stations from Bihar to different parts of the country. Biharis work in farms of Punjab and Haryana and get kicked and abused on a daily basis.
Biharis drive rickshaws and sell veggies in Maharashtra and Delhi and get thrashed and abused almost daily. The word Bihari eventually became an identity tag rather than a cultural tag. And this tag reeks of poverty, the extremely horrible form of it.
The economic parameters of Bihar narrate a sad story of decades of corruption, red tape and an absolute lack of accountability. Bihar is a place where dreams die.
Biharis have, for decades, dreamed only one dream - get out of Bihar somehow and start a life of prosperity and safety. Most of their families stay in Bihar itself and they get remittances from the ones who made it.
Bihar has now become a state whose net export is human beings. Its economy is supported by the remittances of the Biharis outside Bihar. And rest of India gets cheap labor in return.
With a better government, Biharis could have created much more wealth in their own state, more than the remittances that Bihar survives on. The brain drain could have been stemmed. It could have been a better state.
But no state government ever thought about it. And now it’s a vicious cycle. The able bodied and bright minded Biharis will never stay in their state and their state will never improve because those who could have, have already left.
And it’s all because the state never had a CM who gave a serious thought to it. They were content surviving on the scraps from the other parts of India. The current CM who has been in power since time immemorial has no time for fixing things.
I could have been in Patna right now, creating jobs there, like I am, here in Noida. But I cannot because I will be asked to pay Rangdari tax, there will be people chasing my car. I will continue staying a non resident Biharis.
It’s my story. It’s the story of countless more people from Bihar - The El Salvador of India.

Joe Biden isn’t exactly a vengeful man, because it takes brains to nurture vengeance. He lost his brains at least 5 years ago mostly due to biological reasons. But his administration is full of vengeful morons. They are trying to “punish” everyone who was “close” to Trump.
Trump was the first non-establishment President of the United States and the threat to the actual establishment i.e. the deep state was real. Like Terrorism is Pakistan’s state policy, encroachment is China’a, starting and continuing wars has been America’s state policy.
What the US establishment can’t afford is Trump2.0, and they are doing everything to prevent the orange man from staging a comeback. And they aren’t just doing that in the US, they are doing it everywhere. Every state head who shared a bond with Trump has a target on his back.

The Red Swastika on the bonnet gleamed proudly.

He was a proud owner of a cute hatchback. He had spent Rs. 8 Lakh for the top variant of the car and another 40K more to give it the accessories it deserved.

“Are Pandit Ji, aap 51 Rs hi le lo na”, he said again.
The ageing Panditji, with a big Vaishnav Teeka on his forehead finished pouring the “jal” near the car from his Tamra-Patra. The process of pleasing the Isht, Gram and Kul Devta was complete.

“Yajman, nayi nayi gaadi khareedi hai, Brahman ko bhi prasann kar do”, he replied.
The man smiled proudly, he was a proud Hindu. He couldn’t help but wonder how beautiful Hinduism is.

“We don’t even discriminate between living and non living things. And every machine is Vishwakarma for us. “, he thought

I’ll use this line on Twitter, he muttered to himself.

Elon Musk a genius. Not a tech genius but a PR genius. Everything he claims, he can do is either a refurbished concept, a failed concept or a concept that’s in the future. But where he really excels is, in marketing himself. He will Outjob Jobs in creating a cultish following.
Meet the Reva, India’s first electric car, its first model released in 2001. Electronic cars have been around for a long time. Musk markets his overpriced EVs as if he invented them. Musk isn’t even the founder of Tesla, he joined one year after the company was founded. Image
Musk markets himself as Tony Stark. Cool guy in a suit working in a high tech lab working on some cool gadget that will save the planet. Most of the people who worship him are millennials purely because he keeps opposing existing ideas while inventing nothing new.

Narendra Modi Stadium and clueless bhakts (A thread).

Remember that Bandhgala suit, that had PM Modi’s name embroidered all over it. Liberals called PM Modi a narcissist, and Modi Bhakts quickly shifted to back-foot. The suit was gifted to PM Modi and he auctioned it for lakhs.
The suit or the auctioning of it were not the take aways from this incident. Bhakts’ almost immediate shifting to back-foot was the net take away from the incident. It was probably for the first time that fans of PM Modi showed how easy it was to shame them into submission.
Most RWs feel the urge to please everyone. Their generous usage of the word “but” is a proof of it.

Okay demonetisation was bad but...
GST caused issues but...
Modi ji may not be the best but...

Sorry “but”, when you’re issuing contradictory statements, you’re pleasing no one.

Mamata Banerjee: Hamba Hamba ramba ramba kamba kamba dumba dumba bumba bumba Kamba Kamba

PM Modi should provide best possible treatment for Mamata Didi after winning Bengal.
Could it be logorrhoea? Logorrhoea also known as press speech, is a communication disorder that causes excessive wordiness and repetitiveness, which can cause incoherency. Didi must seek immediate medical help and I am not being sarcastic here.
I think it started with the famous Joi Bisnu Mata video where she went on to chant the names of every Hindu god/goddess that she knew about. She was doing it to prove that she is more Hindu than PM Modi.

I have seen people shyly confessing that they are fans of PM Modi especially in their “faith diverse” friends/colleagues group. I have seen Modi fans abjectly surrendering even when the “other” folks would go to any lengths to defame him. This is what gives them narrative control
You tell your truth or someone else will say it for you. Being vocal on social media is one thing and being vocal in real life is another. I have corrected cab drivers, co-passengers in trains with facts and data or have reduced them to their bare hateful selves at the very least
You stand for a politician. You stand for an ideology. Stand. Don’t cede your ground to your belligerent and more vocal ideological foes. Don’t back out to “avoid confrontations”. Those who back out of righteous confrontations are run over. Take the narrative control back.
