HOW TO TREAT YEAST INFECTION AT HOME

Vaginal discharge that is whitish, thick, cheesy, or feels like yogurt, is often due to yeast infection or vulvovaginal candidiasis. You can treat it at home.

A thread 🧵

Please RT for awareness Image
Yeast infection of the vagina or vulvovaginal candidiasis can happen when the healthy yeast which usually lives in your vagina grows out of control.

9 out of every 10 women will have a yeast infection at some point in their life.
What causes yeast infection?

1.  Abusing antibiotics: this lowers the amount of #lactobacillus (the good bacteria in the vagina) allowing the yeast to outgrow
2.  Douching
3.  Hormone imbalance
4.  Weak immune system e.g. diabetes, stress, lack of sleep, pregnancy, cancer, HIV/AIDS
5 common symptoms of vaginal yeast infection

1. Vaginal discharge: usually thick, whitish, and looked like cheese
2. Vaginal itching
3. Vaginal redness
4. Vaginal irritation
5. Burning sensation in your vagina
You can treat your vaginal yeast infection with over-the-counter vaginal #antifungal creams such as miconazole.

Using an antifungal cream for 1 to 3 days should cure mild infections, but complicated infections may need longer-term treatment.
If your yeast infection symptoms don’t improve after 14 days, or occur more than 3 times a year, see your doctor.

There's no need to treat the male partner who isn't showing symptoms.

A woman's hymen can not tell you much about her virginity. Stop depending on it to judge if she's a virgin or not.

{RT for public awareness!}
The hymen is a membrane covering the vagina opening. Its shape and size varies in people.

It normally doesn't cover the vaginal opening completely to allow discharges/menstrual flow to pass through.

If imperfonate (covers vagina completely), surgery is done to open it up a bit
In many cultures, however, people believe that once a woman's hymen is torn, she's been "disvirgined'

They also believe that when a woman is deflowered, she must bleed from the vagina to show that her hymen has broken (which proves her virginity).

In most cases, both are false!

Men, eat bananas and avocados. They increase male hormone (testosterone) production, and boost your libido.

{RT for men on your TL}

#HealthFirst
Although research is still ongoing in this area, there is current evidence that banana contains the enzyme bromelain, while avocado contains zinc, both of which are believed to increase testosterone production.
In addition, avocado is rich in vitamin E which improves sperm quality.

Guys, your average dick is 5 to 7 inches long when erect.

No enlargement gel, cream, pill, or herb, can make a penis bigger. Dealers just want to make money out of your ignorance and this tweet should end that ignorance. Stop wasting your money and time.

{RT for men on your TL}
Did you know that penis enlargement substances are scam products?
Listen, those so-called enlargement substance usually contain vitamins, minerals, herbs or hormones that manufacturers claim enlarge the penis.

None of these products has been proved to work, and some may even be harmful.

Ladies, make sure you pee immediately after sex.

Urinating can help flush out the bacteria that may have entered your urine pipe (urethra) during vaginal sex. This can prevent you from getting urinary tract infections.

{RT for sexually active ladies on your TL}
Peeing immediately after having sex is particularly helpful for people prone to urinary tract infections (UTIs) such as women - due to their shorter urethra than that of men which is longer.
However, peeing after sex will not prevent pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections (STIs) because it is not a form contraception.

Yellowish vaginal discharge with or without a smell, may be a sign of;

- bacterial infection, or
- sexually transmitted infection (STI), like Trichomoniasis

If you have this discharge, don't waste further time. See your health care provider for evaluation & treatment.
Brown vaginal discharge may be due to;

- irregular menstrual cycles
- uterine cancer, or
- cervical cancer

In fact, brown discharge in a woman after menopause is often an early sign of cancer of the uterus.

It's a sign you shouldn't joke about. See your doctor if you have it.
