I truly don't understand why every employer, every Chamber of Commerce across the country isn't loudly opposing #PROAct. Our economy as we know it will cease to exist if it passes. If you're believing that #ABCTest doesn't completely do away w/ICs you're sorely mistaken
When #AB5 was signed into law I thought it didn't apply to me b/c I wasn't subject to CA's Wage Orders. It only applied to ppl subject to Wage Orders, @LorenaSGonzalez and @veenadubal assured everyone (I have receipts). They (a legislator and a law professor) were wrong.
They just said "whoops" and moved on. By relying on their tweets instead of reading the bill I wasn't prepped for msgs from clients on 12/27/19 that my contracts would b canceled 1/1/20 b/c of #AB5. Pls don't let this happen to you. Read the bill yourself. congress.gov/bill/117th-con…

I normally wouldn't share something so personal on Twitter but this needs to be heard, and not just for my family.

My 36-wks-pregnant DIL was admitted to hosp 90 min ago w/pre-eclampsia. Obv there's a good chance she'll have to deliver soon. Yet my son can't go in. They've both
..had COVID and it's documented. Even so, she's laying there waiting on medical tests etc. all alone, and my son's at the house, sick with worry. There is no reason he cannot be there. They have COVID protocols. Partners are able to be there for birth anyway. Let him in now.
Expectant parents shouldn't have to face these things alone. In the case of my kids, they lost their 1st baby to miscarriage during this pandemic and she had to go through all of those procedures alone. It's not right.

I just finished listening and I'm more convinced than ever. Nathan Fletcher went OFF on Kevin Faulconer, and it's well-known that he and Lorena detest Faulconer. They used all of Lorena's standard talking points against opponents: they're racist, anti-vaxxer, Trump supporters...
... and they got their new lackey, Todd Gloria, to step right up and be one of the pitch men. Yep, this has all of the same foresight that a piece of @lorenasgonzalez legislation has - NONE....

I've been a Trump supporter (even tho I didn't support him in '16) b/c I believe that in practice he was one of the most conservative presidents in history. BUT, he's done his most loyal supporters a disservice. He said he was going to the Capitol with them, and did not. 🧵
He allowed attorneys who were terrible messengers and whose personal baggage overshadowed the message to be in front of the cameras. He intimated some big plan and all kinds of theories that loyalists seized on and held onto, believing Trump would pull it off.
Since Election Day there has been zero message discipline from his team. Trump's been inconsistently visible, and was publicly saying things he should have kept quiet and not saying the things that needed to be said.
