Construction for the first city on Mars could begin in 2054 - and these are the plans.

Nüwa is the proposed capital, one of five cities currently planned for the Red Planet.

The vertical city has homes, offices and green spaces, all built into the side of a cliff to protect inhabitants from atmospheric pressure and radiation.

The oxygen is largely produced by plants, food is 90% plant-based, and the energy comes from solar panels.

According to the architecture company's analysis, construction could start as early as 2054 and it could be built by 2100 - when the first community would start living there.

Bitcoin’s environmental impact is well-documented, with its current carbon output roughly the equivalent of New Zealand’s.

But perhaps renewable energy is the future for cryptocurrencies 👇
A recent thread from @jackdanger highlighted that if Bitcoin’s price ever reaches $1m, its carbon output will be greater than the entirety of the US.

So finding a green solution is a must for the cryptocurrency.
