It’s pretty depressing to see that editorial departments all over San Diego are falling for rank disinformation campaigns and tossing reporters under the bus. I’m local. I’m an internationally recognized, award-winning disinfo expert. You can always ask me.
I have this ridiculous reputation as “a maverick” locally because of my decades-long insistence that this town is rotten with Nazis. Well, guess what, local colleagues? I was right and you were wrong all along. Quit stealing my work, suck it up, and ask me directly.
This is why I joined the local SPJ, to try to warn them and work against local white supremacists and their Facebook-aided disinfo campaigns. They didn’t listen, because mAvErIcK. Well, you can either keep farting out the same toothless crap or you can start listening to me.
Pro tip: The recall campaign against Charda Bell-Fontanot is white supremacist horseshit playing on social insecurity and racism in order to feed local hack Carl DeMaio’s need for influence and attention, and the Recall Newsom campaign spearheaded by Naomi Soria and Roger Ogden
Soria is that antivaxxer whose best friend Amber Gilles likes to harass Starbucks employees, Ogden is a gross old white supremacist affiliated with Patriot Front. DeMaio runs “Reform California.” Grifters, gadflies, hacks, has-beens and never-weres. Just like always
See? They’ll give me awards when fact-checking is in fashion, but they still won’t listen to me. spjsandiego.org/2017/04/18/ann…

Like other researchers, I’m horribly burned out from years of watching this hate speech get pushed from the fringes into the mainstream, observing the pattern, and trying to report it out so that others understand the patterns and mechanisms involved. It has scoured my soul raw.
And it’s deliberate, to keep us all frightened and afraid of gathering in groups, makes us easier to control. Mass shooters are fascism’s footsoldiers, not lost men looking for love or whatever the fuck else. They’re carrying out ultraviolence to usher in fascist ideologies

I mean, I'm pretty sure I said that from the get-go. The tell is that they didn't even consider bringing me or any of the other people publicly criticizing them. That means that's not what they are interested in.
Plus, they have a long history of trying to outsource the blame. The "crisis PR" quote is mine btw fastcompany.com/90281553/repor…
