Bob Ney: The US Court of Appeals in Boston upheld the conviction of the guy convicted of the Boston Marathon bombing. The appeals court said the conviction should be overturned since the trial judge didn't question prospective jurors enough about pretrial publicity.

Rick: They're talking about breaking the insurrectionists into groups--who was just hanging around vrs leaders. NO! People need jail time for this. No slaps on the wrist.

Bob Ney: If people hung around but didn't go in the Capitol, do a plea deal. If they were in the bldg, hitting employees, how can they get a slap on the wrist?

Rick: CDC is asking us to hold on so we don't have a surge in cases. These new variants are spreading.
Bob: We are doing quite better but it's not ultra-close to being finished; we are, however, rounding a corner. Let's focus on spacing & masks till we have 75% vaccinated

Bob Ney: Trump should have passed an infrastructure bill his first week in office. It would have set a different tone for his presidency.

Bob Ney: There's talk about a huge infrastructure bill; preliminary talks seem to have gone well. There is also talk of earmarks. Make the earmarks transparent--that's the way people have their money returned for jobs in their communities.

Bob Ney: The interstate highway system under Eisenhower & all the good things that came from that. This is a good time for "Mayor Pete" Buttigieg to shine. The infrastructure bill should be bipartisan.
