Let's skip Covid-19 for now & redress the fire bit, in which all our hospitals & health facilities for that matter are sitting ducks. Remember the Coast Gen & Msa Hosp fires of 2019 ? Did we learn anything ? @Hitlerlaw2 @AbdillahiTaib @africaupdates

Lets take the Mumbai hosp fire as a wake up call & use it to look at any major public or even private hospital in Kenya. How prepared are both the hospitals & our supposed emergency services ? From Lodwar to Lamu, crisscrossing Moyale to Kisumu. What do you see other than mayhem?

That Disaster Mgmt was devolved whilst in ICU as the Constitution 2010 took effect, is no secret. But has been attained in trying to make do with the razzmatazz, we Nationally pretend is in place to serve, when disaster strikes. Mr. President Sir, @FredMatiangi @KenyaGovernors?

Pick at random any hospital, I pick Kitui Level 5 hospital in @mamangilu's domain. Other than being a Level 5 death trap, in fire preparedness. What is so level 5 in the County emergency prevention & response prowess ? @KituiCountyGovt @NYouthCouncil @KituiOnline @skmusyoka

When was the last fire systems inspection in the Kitui Level 5 hospital last conducted ? When was a fire drill, staff fire training & or emergency evacuation drill last conducted ? On response, is the Kitui Fire & Rescue service up to the task ?

When it comes to the County Fire Prep'dness & Emergency response prowess. County Fire Brigade capabilities @mamangilu ? For starters, every fire call is different, that said, does your's ever expect to answer a hospital fire call ? Not in their life time. so how prep'd are they?

Lets do an inventory of response capabilities here.... Fire trucks, turntable ladder, water reserve tanker, HAZMAT response, ambulances & competent proficiently trained personnel as the main condiment. What do you see ? @PeopleDailyKe @StandardKenya @NationAfrica @africaupdates
