Let's review some recent events. In Milwaukee, two black teens, ages 15 and 17, found an Asian woman hanging out alone in a park. They assaulted her, then dragged her to a pond in the woods where they raped and killed her. They recorded the crime on their phone.

In Rochester, two black teens aged 14 and 16 broke into a white man's house, lit him on fire, watched him burn for a little bit, then left him to die. It's still not clear why they did it.

In DC, a Pakistani man was carjacked and murdered by two black girls, ages 13 and 15. His body was left bleeding on the sidewalk while the girls tried to recover their cell phones from his car, which they had wrecked while stealing it.

In a Virginia suburb a couple of hours south of DC, a white middle school girl was gunned down by a black teen while walking through her neighborhood in the middle of the afternoon. No motive has been determined.

These are just the cases we've heard something about -- though not much -- and most of them are from the last few weeks. The racial details make these incidents inconvenient for the media and the Left. The normal, narrative-friendly explanations and talking points don't apply.

Yet these things are happening, and happening frequently. Young kids, not old enough to buy a ticket to a rated R movie, are committing unthinkable acts of brutality against totally innocent people who posed no threat to them. They are doing this, it seems, for fun.

Whenever there is a mass shooting of random people in a school or some other public place, it gets a lot of attention and we have serious conversations about what we should do to stop it. But these smaller scale acts of casual sadism are much more common and widespread.

In fact, they happen literally every day in our cities. Many, many more people are killed. Many more communities terrorized. This is massive problem. A real problem.

We can't just cover our eyes and hope that it sorts itself out. It won't. We have to look it in the face and deal with it honestly and frankly. But the cultural Powers That Be won't allow that. So the bloodshed will continue, while we all talk about something else.
