Just going to note that the respect for the rule of law didn’t seem that prominent when relentlessly carrying on with robodebt despite all the warnings it was unlawful. smh.com.au/politics/feder…

Oh and there is that whole ‘let’s relentlessly prosecute a lawyer for doing his literal job representing a whistleblower, but also try to obstruct his access to representation, plus do it in secret’. theguardian.com/australia-news…

I am lost somewhere between being dismayed at the multiple examples here and depressed that it is obviously being treated as business as usual. This particular acting out of the ‘rule of law’ is hard to stomach as something that is serving all particularly well.
Maybe if these examples are what the ex-AG thinks are the rule of law in action, we would be better off if it would all crumble now that he is responsible for [checks notes] science? Yikes.
